摘 要 宗教主要功能來自於教化人心,所有宗教裡都有其特殊的儀式或信物,道教裡的「符籙」便是一例。「符籙」的功能是人與靈界的溝通管道,其功能無遠弗屆,但其中不乏隱藏著迷信與神秘之色彩。本論文藉由文獻蒐集探討並以現今科學角度作分析,試圖從其中得到不同的論點與奧妙之處。 「符籙」結構基本包含有點(點三清)、線(線圖形、渦旋形)、具象圖形、文字…等元素構成,而每項構成元素於宗教或儀式上皆有其意義及功能。本論文以視覺傳達設計與平面設計之基礎學理,重新釋意符籙之構成元素。並透過符籙之蒐集與統計,分析出具備符籙意象的組構原則,再藉由視覺傳達設計、平面設計與完形心理學理論基礎,進行創作。 創作主題是利用符籙與人的一生息息相關的特質,以「生命禮讚」為主題表現。透過出生篇─「生生不息」、求學篇─「連中三元」、感情篇─「心心相印」、家庭篇─「闔家平安」、事業篇─「百事順利」五個階段以五個主題進行創作,並嘗試開發為生活產品加以實用,以而重新詮釋符籙的新定位,進而作成結論,並將心得及創作作品加以展現。
Abstract The main function of religion is to influence people’s mind. All religions have some unique ways of worship and their own symbols. For Buddha the symbol is charm. The charm is a way of communicating between humans and ghosts. The ability of the charm is unlimited (it can do anything). But inside the charm there is some mystery and supervision. This thesis is trying to collect, analyze and discuss various opinions, data, and use technology and science to find out what is inside the mystery of religions charms. The charm is composed of a few parts: dots, lines, pictures, words, etc. Every part of the charm has its own significant and meaning. This thesis is trying to use the visual communication design and graphic design for basic theory to give new meanings and definitions for the Buddhist charm. This study collected the charms, then numerated and analyzed them to find the comprised laws of charm image. This was done to use the basic theory of visual communication design, graphic design and Gestalt psychology for creation. The content of creation, which takes advantage of the attribution of charm, is closest with human life and the subject of “The glory of life” exhibits it. Brought by the five phases for the chapters of birth, studying, affection, family, and business, there are five subjects to be created. Trying to develop the daily product for use, then warding to give the new definitions and new positions for the charms. As consequences follow then use learning and creations to demonstrate.
