摘要


摘 要 本研究旨在探討「Mary Wollstonecraft的女權思想及其在兩性平等教育上的應用」,希望藉此對我國目前欲推行的兩性平等教育有所裨益。因此,本文的主要內容以Wollstonecraft的女權思想及其教育主張為主。並以此為基礎,提供一些有關兩性平等教育措施上的意見。 本論文主要之研究目的為:(一)分析Wollstonecraft思想的時代背景、寫作歷程、及其女權思想之形成與開展。(二)探討Wollstonecraft之女權思想,及其時代意義和影響。(三)探討Wollstonecraft女權思想中主要的教育主張。(四)綜合研究成果,析論Wollstonecraft的思想及其在兩性平等教育上的應用。 綜合前述之探究,本研究有以下結論:一、挑戰父權中心的女權思想,包含以理性駕馭感性、破除刻板女性形象,建立兩性和諧圖像、爭取女性教育權、工作權及參政權。二、教育是使女性擺脫壓迫、依賴,達成獨立自主的重要關鍵,男女混合之國民教育是達成性別平等的第一步、以理性教育解放女性、以「獨立」為主的女性教育;三、在兩性平等教育上的應用,政府應從立法及政策面以積極態度落實兩性平等教育、建構兩性平等之學校文化、建構不以性別為導向的課程設計。 總而言之,兩性平等的提昇自十八世紀以來雖有進展,但因為各種意識型態固著的現象不易打破,致使其成果大受影響;雖然如此,持續的提倡及努力,特別是在教育上的耕耘,終有使理想實現的一天。期盼吾人能從Wollstonecraft等先知的精神與理念,共同為女性和男性開創一個雙贏的未來。

Mary Wollstonecraft’s Thoughts about the Rights of Woman and Its Implications on Gender Equity Education Hui-wen Huang Abstract The purpose of this study is to discuss Mary Wollstonecraft’s thoughts about the rights of woman and its’ implications on gender equity education with the hope that it would be helpful for the gender equity education propelled in Taiwan. The thesis is mainly about Wollstonecraft’s thoughts about the rights of woman and her educational ideas, and wishes to provide some suggestions. The purposes of this thesis are as follows: (1) to analyze the background of Wollstonecraft’s time, her writing process and how she germinate the thought of the rights of woman. (2) to discuss Wollstonecraft’s thoughts about the rights of woman and its’ influence. (3) to discuss Wollstonecraft’s educational thoughts. (4) to explore the applications of Wollstonecraft’s thoughts to gender equity education. Based on the results above, the conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) Challenge the idea of patriarchy, including the ability of reason, and the stereotype of female and fight for the rights of education, work and politic for women. (2) The key point of liberating women from oppression and being independent is “education”. The first step to achieve gender equity is to adopt “co-education”. (3) The government should implement the gender equity education actively in respect of legislation and policy. Schools should build the culture of gender equity, and the curriculum should not based on gender. To sum up, although there has been some progress about the promotion of gender equity since 18 century, it is still not easy to change the ideology of gender stereotype. Therefore, we should continue to advocate the idea of gender equity, especially on education, and with the spirit and ideas of Wollstonecraft and other prophets, we will create a bright future for all women and men.
