『極限主義』音樂的探究

摘要

本論文係以『極限主義』音樂為基礎理念，透過『極限主義』音樂風格的探討，並分析主要代表作曲家之音樂作品，進而在實際的音樂創作加以實踐。
『極限主義』的探討提及：
(1). 概述『極限主義』在各領域的運用
(2).『極限主義』這個名詞的緣起
(3). 『極限主義』之音樂定義
(4). 『極限主義』的音樂概念及音樂語彙
分析四位主要代表作曲家音樂作品，研究其創作手法：
(1). 拉蒙特•楊的《弦樂三重奏》
(2). 泰瑞•賴里的《C調》
(3). 史帝夫•萊希的《鋼琴的相位》
(4). 菲力普•葛拉斯的《運行相近的音樂》
依據對『極限主義』研究結果，創作及分析下列音樂作品：
(1). 四首鋼琴小品
(2).《運行》—為豎笛、中提琴、大提琴和鋼琴
(3). 四首管絃樂小品—為室內管絃樂團

This thesis is based on “Minimal Music”, make a study of the music style for “minimalism”, and analyze the music works of the representative composers. And then, produce the creative music works in practice.

Analyze the music works of 4 typical composers and research their creative methods:
(1) La Monte Young (String for Trio)
(2) Terry Riley (In C)
(3) Steve Reich (Piano Phase)
(4) Philip Glass (Music in Similar Motion)
Based on the result of studying the minimal music, compose and assay the following music works:
(1) Four Pieces for piano
(2) Revolution- for clarinet, viola, cello and piano
(3) Four Pieces for chamber orchestra
