廣義的解讀存在於舞蹈表演藝術中的視覺藝術,其中包含從早期服裝、道具、布景、燈光、空間裝置……等,到影像以及近期多媒體數位虛擬藝術的借用與應用等多元新興媒介跨領域結合的創作趨勢。當代數位媒介的借用,已經使得表演形式愈趨複雜,各類影像在表演藝術中扮演的角色,可以是物證式、各種人稱式、擬場以及人為目擊記錄與再現、或影像本身獨立創作的多元發展與組合。整個過程的產生也可以在行為範疇中被解讀成「觀看」、「投射」、「介入」、「參與」、「局部解讀」、「意識觸碰」或「借用與詮釋」的型態。透過肢體、聲音、攝影、海報、影像、裝置、視覺設計與新興多媒體的媒介,表演藝術中的各類訊息得以依照個別需要傳遞至大眾。基本上,精準且具風格的視覺訊息傳達,是透過萃取演出片段的精華訊息,或將一連串不連續的肢體符號或語意,藉由視覺建構或是應用其符號性的象徵特質詮釋表演的形式,藉以有效的傳遞訊息。 影像之於其他藝術形式的相互關係,亦可解讀成是扮演人類的另一雙眼與媒介物。如今各類影像的不斷重複出現、遍在、甚或氾濫。對照現今社會大眾看待這些視覺傳達意涵的意義,似乎已經不在只是單純的接收訊息、滿足癖好,而多了精準傳達、過濾與解讀訊息的課題。正因為純粹的二度空間鋪陳的靜止影像在它幾近「單向式」的訊息傳遞中透露出是一種視覺語意的傳遞與看不見的視覺宰制。本論文嘗試將平面影像的多元風格結合到視覺傳達設計的領域,文中就舞蹈攝影作品的表現技法與風格加以分析,並比較台灣當代著名的表演藝術團體海報設計中形式與內容要素的差異;另一方面將攝影與舞蹈之間的關係以及圖像符號的傳達與表演形式的關係辯證作一探討。
In the performing (dancing) arts, the medium, such as dresses, properties, curtain, space installation, image, and the use and application for multimedia digital arts, play very important roles to connect with the visual art; and create mutual development relationship. Any image connected with performing arts can be presented by “evidence exhibition”, “status or position of players”,“Virtual Reality”, “visual records”, “re-producing of image”; or can be shown by image itself or by various combination and re-organization of image. The whole process of creating image through viewing the performing arts can be read as “looking”, “projecting and reflecting”, “involving”, participating”, “partially expressing”, “contacting conscious”, or “borrowing and explaining”. The messages of various performing arts can be delivered to the public through body movements, voices, photos, posters, images, installations, visual designs and newly develop multimedia. In principle, an accurate and characteristic visual message could be expressed by key message taking from the thematic parts of performance, or expressed by useful delivery of message for performing arts by serious interrupted body languages or words to create visual image or to apply symbolic languages to interpret performing styles. The roles of image for the presentation of any arts are as the same roles of eyes to be the media for human beings. Up to date, various types of image are repeated, spread, or even abused. The meaning of the delivering visual image is not limited to receive messages or to satisfy habits, but to request for accurate information, purification and interpretation of messages when the public view the inner-meaning of visual communication. Because the pure two dimension expression presenting a “frozen image” is close to “one-way” message delivery, and that is a kind of invisible control through visual messages. This thesis is to study the inter-relations between multi-types of graphic image and visual communication. In this thesis, I analyze the presenting skills and styles of photos products for performing arts, and compare the differences of designs and contents of the posters for Taiwan current well-known performing groups. In addition, I also study the relationship between photos and dancing performances, and between symbolic languages and performance forms.
