六○年代後的台灣,受到西方現代主義的影響,由文學界開始發聲,接著如繪畫、戲劇、舞蹈、建築、音樂等藝術領域,也掀起一股現代化風潮。然而台灣的作曲運動,自然也是這股風潮下的產物,藉由這股現代化潮流,也讓台灣作曲家的創作,開始邁入現代音樂作曲新技法的新紀元。作曲家林進祐教授出生於1948年,從師專時期開始嘗試創作,並於1984年舉行首次個人作品發表會後至今仍持續寫作,創作歷程長達三十多年。其作品包含有管弦樂作品、各種大小不同編制的室內樂曲、聲樂曲、合唱曲、鋼琴曲、電影與舞台劇配樂等。到目前為止,均保持每年有四到五首的作品發表,其作品數量之豐盛,在國內作曲家當中可算是屬於創作力旺盛的作曲家之一。 本篇論文主要是探討本土作曲家林進祐教授的作品,並分析其風格型態、創作語法與理念,及其在台灣作曲運動的浪潮下堅持創作,從台灣本土文化出發,融合中西方音樂技法,作自我創作之最佳詮釋。如此不只表現了時代風格,也凸顯自己在音樂創作中的自我特色。另外,除了創作之外,音樂教育也是林教授另一個創作目標;他不僅要創作出具教育性,同時也深具藝術性的音樂作品,更試圖在作品中加入「台灣風格」(主觀的),讓更多具有台灣風格的作品能夠在國際間發光發熱。
Abstract A wave of modernization from literature to painting, drama and music has been brought into Taiwan, which is inspired by the western modernism since the 60’s. Moreover, the Taiwanese compositional campaign is also produced under the new era of modernization. The composer, Chin-Yow Lin was born in 1948. He started his composition career since he was in the college, and he presented his first compositional concert at the same year. His composition career is held for over than thirty years, and he still composes nowadays. The compositions are included orchestral music, different organization of chamber music, vocal, choral, piano, movie and the background of dramatic music. He still keeps composing the average of four to five compositions every year. The number of his composition is fruitful; besides, his is also one of the productive and creative composers in Taiwan. The thesis is aimed to examine compositions of the native composer, Dr. Chin-Yow Lin, and analyze his style, creating grammar and ideas. In the midst of compositional campaign, he persists in composition based on Taiwanese local culture and merging both the eastern and western musical technique to interpret his works. It is not only representing the contemporary style, but also standing out his characters in his music composition. In addition to his composition, Dr. Lin also pursues a new creation of the music education. He tries to create the educational and artistic compositions and attaches the subjective Taiwanese style throughout his works, and to make more Taiwanese style composition booming within nations.
