生命長河-林美嬌繪畫創作研究

The River of the Life: A study of Mei-chiao Lin's Art Creations

摘要


在現今求快、求速度、求速成的社會中,表象的追求已勝過精神的追求,人們永遠快速的移動在街景裡,移動在都會中,在捷運站內,在交通工具運載上,滿街的快餐、速食店、超商、手搖杯的飲品店,象徵速食文化的社會中,生命的本質意義及價值何在 ? 此問題常存於筆者心中一條縱貫三世生命甚或更遠的時間長軸,生命長河並不因我們疏忽了它而停留了下來或隱藏不見。有時感覺人生如涓涓的溪水,有如大江東去哄哄而過,如浮光掠影般,稍縱即逝。在生命長河主題中,刻意放下以前熟悉的作畫方式,尋找新的材料,讓創作產生更大可能性,筆者的描繪對象 : 有我摯愛的家人、家園、旅行的經驗,有生命成長記憶的翻攪,有對家人忙碌孩子漸漸長大家人親子關係疏離的感嘆 ! 及生命穿透時空在億萬恆河沙的冥想,及對生命中宿命不定數的感悟,自身情緒的溫暖冷熱的表達以及對人類的愛。把很久以前沉澱在長河中的記憶,重新整理釐清尋找適合的材質與形式做創作表現,及做最適當的畫作呈現。描繪方式有的如象徵主義的手法,也有如現代繪畫、裝置藝術、與異材質的結合表現,純粹做抽象色彩質感表現的追求,「象徵主義繪畫中的形象,不過是造型語言中無窮密碼的一部分」,試圖從環境中找尋物象,成為創作的符號語言。

In this society that people pursue speed, rapidity, and quickness, superficial pursuit overweighs spiritual one. people always move quickly in the streets, in the MRT and in the metropolis. Streets are lined with fast-food restaurants, convenience stores, bubble-tea shops. In the society symbolizing the culture of fast food, what is the essence and value of life? This question is always overwhelmed in my mind through the preceding life, living life and afterlife. The long river of the life never stops or disap pears due to our neglect. Some feel that life is like the murmuring streams, like the big rumbling rivers, or like the shimmering light or superficial glamour vanishing all of a sudden. In the theme about the long river of the life, looking for new materials instead of pursuing the precious familiar painting skills on purpose can make production more possible. My paintings include my lovely family members, surroundings and travel experiences, in which there are long-term memories in my mind. I also lament due to the isolation from me and my children who have grown up. In addition, I have the meditation about the life through space and time, also have the retrospective for the unsteady destiny and my own emotional expressions and the love for humanity. I make an attempt to rearrange and search for the suitable materials and forms to do the performance and present the most suitable paintings. The ways of the description include symbolic techniques, the combination of modern art, decorative art and the diversity of the materials, which purely pursue the abstract colors of the texture. The image of symbolism is nothing but a part of numerous codes of the style, trying to search for the object from the surroundings to be the code language of the creation.
