高職特教班輕度智能障礙畢業生餐飲類職場實習留用之經驗敘說

摘要


本研究旨在探討高職特教班輕度智能障礙畢業生餐飲類職場實習留用之研究。以立意取樣從研究者所帶領之高職特教導師班畢業生中,挑選實習及留任職場為餐飲類型之畢業生,並從中挑選留用職場為飲料調製及餐廳之畢業生各一案例進行質性研究。透過訪談及收集相關資料,利用NVivo11協助編碼,以回答本研究之待答問題。綜合本研究之結論如下: 一、餐飲類職場之雇主願意留用高職特教班畢業生之因素:家長的期待、畢業生本身的正向特質以及雇主的同理心與期望對社會有所回饋有關;另外,雇主所提供的支持有工作上的實質協助以及心理上的支持。 二、實習職場為餐飲類之高職特教班輕度智能障礙畢業生願意留在原職場之主因:畢業生本身對於工作內容及環境的熟悉、畢業生本身期待能了解自己對於工作的熱忱持續度、雇主的肯定與正向鼓勵、雇主願意以行動支持調整自己,配合畢業生以及此份工作可以提升正向的自我概念 三、餐飲類職場之雇主期待後續實習學生所具備的特質與能力:工作速度要快、工作要仔細、工作要保持專心、具備獨當一面的能力、有良好的品行、勤勞肯做的態度以及與同事有良好的互動。   最後根據研究結果,針對學校特教班老師、職場雇主以及政府單位提出建議,以供參考。

This study aims to discuss the vocational high school graduates with mild mental retardation in interning and continuing in employment at the workplaces related to the catering. In this qualitative research of the study, purposive sampling was employed by the researcher, the homeroom teacher of the samples, to choose the graduates who interned and later continued in employment at the workplaces related to the catering. Among the graduates, two students were selected individually from those who continued to be hired at the tea shops and the restaurants to do the qualitative research. To answer the questions of this study, NVivo11 was employed to code the relative data from interviewing and information collection. This study has concluded as below. First, the reasons why the employers from the workplace related to the catering are willing to hire those graduates from classes of special education in vocational high school are from parental expectations, the positive attitudes of the graduates, and the empathy of employers who want to contribute to the society. Furthermore, the employers can also offer the assistants including mentally and essentially support. Secondly, the reasons why the graduates with mild mental retardation from the classes of special education in vocational high school, who interned at the workplaces related to the catering are willing to stay in the original fields are the their familiarity to the content and the environment of their work, their expectations to be aware of how much burden they can bear, and the positive encouragement from their employers. Besides, their employers are willing to adjust themselves and to support them and their self-confidence can be raised are also the reasons. Third, the special qualities and essential abilities which should be equipped by those who retained to be hired for the employers from the catering include the speed, the cautiousness, the concentration, the independence, the well behaviors, the diligence and the good interaction with colleagues when working. Finally, according to the consequence of the study, advice is provided to teachers from classes of special education in vocational high school, government units and employers from the workplaces for reference.
