繼親家庭手足關係之發展歷程：成年前期階段的探討

本研究採敘事研究取向，同時考量其父母再婚情境、性別、手足組合與血緣關係之異質性，選取4位研究參與者進行深度訪談，以家庭故事為背景，回溯其手足互動與感受，探討繼親家庭中手足關係之發展脈絡，並運用家庭系統觀點，探討個人因素與家庭互動對繼親手足關係發展之關聯性。主要之研究發現如下：一、繼親家庭展現出「『稱謂』不等於『角色』的確立」，血緣生親具有不可取代的地位。二、繼親手足關係以「情感」導向與「工具」導向，發展出「自己人」與「身分性自己人」的特性，如能促進手足互動的自主性，有助於強化繼親手足關係。三、家庭系統對繼親手足關係發展的助/阻力，可分為兩個面向，包含個人特質、生命階段轉換之「個人因素」；以及父母的婚姻關係、繼親家人互動、(繼)親子關係、其他親友的「家庭互動」因素，其中尤以「繼親」教養手足的方式，最影響手足關係。

This study used narrative research to conduct in-depth interviews with four participants. Taking into account the differences in the participants’ parents’ remarriage, the participants’ gender, and their sibling combination and biological relations, the participants were selected. In a family-story setting, the study aimed to understand how the participants interact with their sibling and how they feel about them. The developmental contexts of sibling relationships in step families were discussed. According to family-system viewpoints, this study delved into how individual factors and family interaction factors affect step-sibling relationships. Findings of the study indicate: 1.In step families, “titles” do not equal “the roles taken,” biological parents are irreplaceable. 2.Step-sibling relationships are “affection” and “instrument” oriented. They can lead to identification such as “one of us” or “one of us by law yet without affection.” It helps to strengthen step-sibling relationships if more spontaneous sibling interactions can be generated. 3.The assistance and hindrances which family systems contribute to step-sibling relationships can be seen as deriving from two types of factors. First, “individual factors” which include personal traits and stage of life transition. Also, “family interaction factors” such as parents’ marital relationship, (step-) parents-child relationship, step family member interactions, and the interaction with other kin. The parenting style of “step-parents” affects sibling relationships the most.
