探討「技術生命週期」在衰退期後的相關因子與產品設計策略

摘要


技術的躍進逐步壓縮產品生命週期,過時的技術也漸漸被淘汰,產品隨著技術衰退後而退出市場,但有部份產品竟有重返流行的現象,像是拍立得、耳罩式耳機、掃描機等,本研究篩選其中成功的案例進行討論,所謂成功的定義是指舊技術重新應用在新產品後,該產品目前仍存在市場上,且將會歷經完整的產品生命週期,探討案例中成功返回市場的因素,源自於當時的歷史背景、流行風氣等社會現象和人為因子,以設計的觀點切入探討有關產品策略、技術生命週期等研究理論,藉由分析過往案例和訪談相關專業人士,制定出歷經衰退期後重返市場的產品設計策略:(1)延續技術價值與消費者產生共鳴。(2)以設計為主,技術為輔。(3)市場目標族群轉移,轉移原有的目標族群,從專業領域到普及大眾。(4)必須不同於原產品的用途,才會產生新需求。(5)功能簡化,為讓更多人能方便操作。最後將以上策略套用在目前面臨衰退的技術,再創造新產品,此過程提供給持有舊技術的企業作為轉型參考。

Advance of technology makes the Product Life Cycle compressed continuously, outdated technology also gradually be eliminated. Some of products have to return to the popular phenomenon, such as polaroid , headphone, scanner, etc. This paper discusses successful cases. The definition of success means that the old technology is reapplied to the new product. And the product is still on the market and will have a complete product life cycle. Exploring the factors that successfully returned to the market in the case. which is about the historical background,social phenomena and human factors etc. This paper investigates the research theory,with the design viewpoint into the Product Strategy and Technology Life Cycle. Develop product design strategies for outdated technology returning to the market by analyzing past cases and interviewing relevant professional:(1)Renewing the value of technology and resonating with consumers.(2)Design-based, followed by technology.(3)Transfer the original target, from the professional to the popular.(4)Different from the purpose of the original product then generate new demand.(5)Simplify features for more convenience. Finally, these strategies apply to the outdated technology. Then create new products, this process is provided to enterprises with outdated technology as a transformation reference.
