Analyzing and Designing Chinese Teaching YouTube Videos for Spanish Speakers

Some people believe that online teaching is the future of teaching, because regardless of your geographic location, you can get a high-quality education. In this sense, a lot of people started to focus their research on this topic in the recent years. We do not know what future holds for us, maybe it will be impossible for us to get on a plane and go to study abroad. However, thanks to online teaching we can still get a diploma from whatever university we want to. There are different kinds of online teaching. During this epidemic we have seen how a lot of teachers used videoconference software to keep having kind of “presential” classes with their students. However, a lot of people, not only students, but also invest their time in learning by watching videos. There are plenty of platforms we can learn by watching videos, some of them are free to use, some of them require you to pay. The purpose of this thesis is to research the videos that teach Chinese to Spanish native speakers in the biggest free to use platform: YouTube. First, we are going to analyze those Chinese teaching videos addressed to Spanish speakers. And second, we are going to create our own YouTube channel and upload two videos recorded after analyzing the videos in that platform. During this research we found that not many people is uploading teaching Chinese videos to Spanish speakers. Also, we confirmed that the videos upload by the author are helpful to those who are studying by themselves.
