The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of college students' explanatory style and positive emotion on life satisfaction, and to explore the intermediary role of positive emotion. A questionnaire survey was adopted in this study, and the students in a university of science and technology in Taoyuan were selected as the subjects. The data was analyzed with the SPSS18.0 by descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The empirical results were shown as below: 1. The explanatory style of college students has a significantly positive influence on life satisfaction. 2. The explanatory style of college students has a significantly positive influence on positive emotion. 3. The positive emotion of college students has a significantly positive influence on life satisfaction. 4. For college students, the relationship between explanatory style and life satisfaction was completely mediated by positive emotion. Finally, according to the results of the study, some suggestions are put forward for the reference of management practice and future study.
