This thesis aims to design and simulation of a two-phase ring-type flat motor. A CAD design software, SolidWorks is used to design a prototype the motor, and then the performances of the motors is obtained. Finally, a finite element analysis software, JMAG-Designer, is conducted to verify and evaluate the performances of the motor. The rotor of motor is made of a set of magnet mounted on a metal substrate, and the stator of the motor of a set of coil. The motor of dimension is 234mm, and the motor of height is 32.5mm; the coil is drive with bipolar switching power supply. The results of JMAG-Designer analysis, it obtained torque values and electromagnetic field values of characteristics. The motor can be low-speed and high-torque characteristics, meet industry's needs.
