本研究以專利分析探討美國半導體產業之經營績效,並以人工類神經網路的方式進行分析,探討專利發明人數(Number of inventors)、專利相對技術優勢指標(RTA)、專利集中度(HHI)對公司績效之影響。研究結果發現發明人數與專利相對技術優勢指標會對公司經營績效產生正向影響,而專利集中度與公司績效呈負相關。因此美國半導體產業公司想要提升公司績效,應增加其發明人數,並適當的強化企業內部技術優勢,且擴展其專利廣度的範疇。
This study uses patent analysis to explore the corporate performance of the American semiconductor industry by use of artificial neural network (ANN). Besides, this paper explores the nonlinear influences of number of inventors, patent relative technology advantage, patent concentration, and upon corporation performance of the American semiconductor companies. The results show that number of inventors and relative technological advantage has a nonlinearly and monotonically positive influence upon the corporation performance. However, patent concentration has negative influences upon corporation performance. Therefore, if the American semiconductor companies want to enhance their performance, they should enhance number of inventors and enhance the technical superiority in the company, and expand the scope of its patent breadth.
