摘要

重估中國經濟發展歷程乃是個相當重要的研究話題。從文化研究途徑來回顧此議題，想必會產生不同的視野與觀點。本文的研究架構乃是從「韋伯中國命題」開始，並以這之中所衍生的四個文化要素為觀察變項，再用此來對該議題進行初步地歷史考察。本文的章節配置如下：

第二章「韋伯學的理論回顧」、第三章「中國保守性格與經濟之論析」、第四章「中國工作倫理與經濟之論析」、第五章「中國家族主義與經濟之論析」、第六章「中國政治性格與經濟之論析」，以及第七章「結論」。

這架構安排乃是先從第二章韋伯學（西方看中國）為起點，接著在於第三章中國保守性格中讓兩文化彼此對話。然後，再按依照個體層次（工作倫理），推演到小團體層次（家族主義），最終再擴及宏觀層面（政治性格）。筆者試圖藉由上述的研究步驟，來推論出當代中國文化的變遷，是否與今日的經濟高速成長有著正相關性。

Revaluation of Chinese economic development process is a very important research topic. Cultural studies approach to analyze this issue will surely have different views. Framework of this research began in "the Weber thesis as applied to the case of China", and derived from observation of the four cultural variables. This dissertation use of these cultural variables for historical research. So the configuration section of this paper is as follows:

Chapter II "Review of the theory of Max Weber", Chapter III "Chinese conservatism and economic development analysis", Chapter IV "the Chinese work ethic and economic development analysis", Chapter V "Chinese familism and economic development analysis", Chapter VI, "Chinese political character and economic development analysis", and Chapter VII, "Conclusion".

This framework is based on Chapter II as a starting point(the theory of Max Weber). In the third chapter, the Chinese culture and Western culture dialogue (the Weber thesis as applied to the case of China). And then according to the individual level (work ethic), extended to the small group level (familism), and eventually extended to the macro level (political character). Through the study of the steps trying to infer that modern Chinese cultural changed and today's high economic growth has positive correlation.
