ZigBee目前廣泛用在日常生活中,因為它具有成本低,易於部署等優點,所以可以彈性地結合許多新興的感測器應用,以因應大眾多元的需求,其中在醫療資訊應用上,需要傳輸大量且重要的生醫資訊,故ZigBee有限的數據傳輸率成為一個關鍵問題。本文提出管線化傳輸機制,不需要更動底層IEEE 802.15.4既有的設計並實作在TI CC2531的ZigBee平台上去實現更好的傳輸速率以及傳輸品質。實驗結果顯示,管線化傳輸機制確實提供了更好的傳輸速率和網路品質。因此管線化傳輸機制成功解決 ZigBee有限的數據傳輸率之問題且完全兼容於目前 ZigBee stack底層IEEE 802.15.4之設計。
ZigBee has been widely in the use of wireless control and monitoring applications because it has the advantages of low cost and easy deployment. For various kinds of demands, the design of ZigBee is flexible for combining many emerging sensor applications, especially the applications of medical Informatics which requires transmitting large amount of critical biomedical information. As ZigBee is applied to emerging applications, its limited data transmission rate becomes a critical issue. This thesis proposes Pipelining Transmission Mechanism(PTM) performing much better data transmission rate based on its pipelining data transmission design, which is implemented in TI CC2531 ZigBee platform without modifying the design of IEEE 802.15.4. Experiment results demonstrate PTM provides better packet deliver ratio and higher throughput than original ZigBee stack. Thus, PTM successfully resolves ZigBee transmission issue and is fully compatible with current ZigBee stack design.
