魏晉士人「重面子」現象之文化底蘊

摘要

魏晉社會隱隱然透顯出「重面子」此價值觀，且其於士人的舉止生活中，有著相當鮮明的呈現，甚可蔚為魏晉時期的特殊文化風貌。眼見其中蘊藏珍貴之學術價值，而學者們又尚未將研究觸角延伸至此，故筆者於本文將開疆闢土，以「面子」此全新視角，展開對魏晉社會文化的觀照。
為證魏晉士人「重面子」，因而了解「面子」一詞，成為首要工作。故本文一開始，先釋義「面子」，確認基點，以利展開論述。再來，由外而內談「面子」。察魏晉社會洋溢著尚美的風氣，別具特色，故先談外貌的「面子」，藉此觀察其與社會、心理層面的「面子」，互相引發的狀況，以證魏晉於「外面子」的重視。接著，往內談較抽象的「面子」，也就是今日常用的「面子」概念範疇。將魏晉士人表現出的種種「面子」行為，及「面子」於魏晉社會生活中所涉及的領域，一一列出，並就其性質異同，歸納分類，最後，則搭配魏晉政治、思想、文化、精神等面向，說明造成魏晉時期有著「重面子」文化的可能原因，以證成魏晉時代確有「重面子」此主觀文化之事實。

Wei and Jin Dynasties social quietly reveal the "valuing face" this value, and its behavior in the Scholars' life. There is very clear presentation, can even become a cultural representative of Wei and Jin Dynasties. Seeing that there were precious academic value, and research scholars had yet to reach out to this area. So in this article I will break new ground, to "face" for the social and cultural themes research on Wei and Jin Dynasties.
In order to prove Scholar '"valuing face" of this argument, we must understand the "face" of the word connotations first. So the beginning of this article, I make sure the "face" of meaning, in order to facilitate the start on. Furthermore, from the outside talk "face." Observe the Wei and Jin Dynasties society, filled with respect for the culture of beauty, is very special than other dynasties. Therefore, this paper first discusses appearance "face." To observe it with the social and psychological aspects of "face" influence each situation, to prove Wei and Jin Dynasties in the "outside face" attention. Then, to the more abstract discussion within the "face", that is commonly used today, "face" concept. Listing event in the Wei and Jin Dynasties intellectuals demonstrated various "face" behavior, and "face" in the Wei and Jin Dynasties involved in the social life of the field areas, And analyzed and summarized its qualitative similarities and differences. Finally, with the Wei and Jin Dynasties political, ideological, cultural, spiritual and other-oriented, resulting in Wei and Jin Dynasties has described "valuing face" culture of the possible causes. To prove the Wei and Jin Dynasties determined to have "valuing face" subjective culture.
