交流驅動高功率發光二極體照明模組之研究

摘要


近年來,發光二極體(light emitting diodes;LED)變得相當引人注目,應用於行動電話的背光源、機動車輛以及一般的照明應用。一般LED操作電源都以直流電源驅動為主,目前大部分都以DC LED作為研究方向。應用於一般照明時,必須使用小型的轉換器將AC電源轉換為DC電源來供給DC LED。然而轉換器的壽命、轉換效率有限,都會使以LED作為照明模組的優勢降低。所以直接以市電驅動,不需任合轉換器的交流電源(alternating current;AC) LED因此問世。 本研究分為三大項,第一部份為使用電容於橋式橋式結構的濾波特性原理,應用於AC LED中,以此分析濾波電容是否有助於橋式結構AC LED的光輸出。第二部份則是利用溫度對於LED發光光譜峰值的紅移現象,建立量測AC LED接面溫度的方法。最後製作矽基板並將DC LED排列成橋式結構使用於照明上。使用濾波電容使得橋式AC LED光輸出更為增加,與無濾波電容相比,光輸出功率增加了180%。本研究之量測AC LED方法結果與Modified k-factor theory的量測結果相近。矽基板AC LED照明模組的發光效率為45.94 lm/VA,對照相同功率之On chip AC LED的28.96 lm/VA,更具有應用於照明的優勢。

During recent years, light-emitting diodes (LED) became very attractive as efficient light sources for general lighting applications. Most of the LED operation under DC condition, and at present, the majority of DC LED develops direction of the academia and industry. In general lighting applications, a compact AC/DC converter should be used in one lighting fixture to supply dc current to LED chips. Limited lifetime and limited conversion efficiency of compact AC/DC converters can remarkably reduce advantages of an LED-based lighting module. Therefore, the AC LED which can operate directly from general electrical power system without any AC/DC converter has been presented. In this thesis, the filter capacitor was applied on the Wheatstone Bridge type circuit AC LED. We research the difference capacitors on the WB type circuit AC LED and without any capacitors. The results obtained total light output power increased 180% and parallel filter capacitors leading to full-wave rectified voltage - current waveforms more smooth compared with without any filter capacitors. In the other hand, this thesis presents another way to measurement the junction temperature of AC LED. The results of our method compared with the modified k-factor theory were very similar. Finally, the silicon submount was fabrication for AC-drived lighting module and the WB type circuit consisted of six 45mil DC LEDs by AC conditions. The external efficiency of this lighting module was 45.94 lm/VA, compared with the same of average power AC LED was 28.96 lm/VA and the advantages of a more applied to illumination.
