車載感測網路於大範圍環境監測二氧化碳之應用

A Vehicular Sensor Network for CO2 Monitoring in Large-Scale Environments

摘要


Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)近年來倍受矚目,藉由在環境中散佈許多較便宜的Sensor node,達到對環境資訊加以監控並收集的目的;除此之外,新興的Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network(VANET)--利用車輛上的無線網路裝置提供服務的架構,近來亦受到熱烈討論,將WSN的優點在VANET上實現,即為VSN (Vehicular Sensor Networks)。因此,我們提出一套系統,能夠即時並大量的回報CO2資料,並且針對特定大範圍地區的不同區塊,修正採樣率,以避免浪費網路資源。 我們將實作此系統,使用Jennic晶片整合CO2 Sensor、GPS以及GSM module;Jennic支援IEEE 802.15.4 protocol,並可提供短距離無線網路,如此一來,我們可以將CO2 Sensor安裝於車外,而收集到的資料也能跟GPS資料合併後,經由GSM module以SMS的方式來回報給Server,資料收集完成後,再和Google MAP整合繪製為等高線圖,最後藉由簡單的實測來驗證此系統可正常運作,並且能夠使用較低成本,有效率的收集資料。

Using vehicles as the carries of sensors to monitor a large field is an attractive direction. This paper proposes a novel architecture of VSN(vehicular sensing system) to monitor the air quality in an urban area, which is realized based on GSM short messages and availability of GPS receiver on vehicles. We demonstrate our prototype of a ZigBee-based vehicle wireless network to monitor CO2 density in areas of interest. The collected data is reported to a remote server, which is integrated with Google Maps as our user interface.
