越過視覺：聲音與空間的聯覺

音樂是建築師常見的設計靈感來源，傳統上對於兩者的共通性，多從數學或是樂譜與建築圖面的對應討論，成為了一種常見也能被快速理解的觀察與描述方法，然而隨著時代的演變，音樂與建築都不再侷限於比例、和諧等等的觀念，兩者在型態與體驗都產生了巨大的變化，也給予了我們新的機會討論音樂與建築之間關聯。本文前半部從已成為共識的音樂建築相似性談起，試著從音樂在建築設計過程中所擔任的角色，討論設計操作上，聆聽經驗與音樂元素如何被理性轉譯成相對應的空間效果。後半部則提出加入神經科學上的聯覺(Synaesthesia)觀點，討論聲音對其他感官的觸發，會為設計提供新的感受文本，這種新的刺激往往是傳統上在音樂轉譯成空間時，容易被忽略的設計暗示。最後則嘗試以聯覺作為觀看空間新角度，探討在現今的世界觀之下，以聯覺解碼音樂做為建築設計的觀點之一，為空間設計帶來的可能性。

Music is a common source of design inspiration for architects. Traditionally, the commonality between the two, mostly from mathematics or the corresponding discussion of musical scores and architectural drawings, has become a common observation and description method that can be quickly understood. With the evolution of the times, music and architecture are no longer limited to the concepts of proportion, harmony, etc. Both have undergone tremendous changes in form and experience, and have also given us new opportunities to discuss the relationship between music and architecture. The first half of this paper starts with the similarity between music and architecture that has become a consensus. It tries to discuss the role of music in the architectural design process, discuss the design operation, listening experience and how the musical elements are rationally translated into corresponding spaces. In the second half, it is proposed to join the Synaesthesia perspective in neuroscience, discussing the triggering of sound on other senses, which will provide new feeling ideas for the design. This new stimulus is often be neglected easily when music is translated into space. Finally, I try to use synesthesia as a new perspective to view the space, and explore the possibility of synesthesia to decode music as one of the architectural design perspectives in the current world view, which brings to the space design.
