This research will develop VFIFE-DKMT thick shell element by combining constant strain triangle (CST) membrane element and discrete Kirchhoff Mindlin triangle (DKMT) thick plate element which contain shear strain effect, by using vector form intrinsic finite element method (VFIFE). By using the concept of equation of motion, inverse rigid body motion, deformation coordinates of VFIFE, also combine the membrane forces of CST element and moment of DKMT element, we can develop VFIFE-DKMT element which have advantage of easily calculating large displacement problem from VFIFE theory, and considering shear deformation from DKMT elements. It make VFIFE shell element become closer real shell structure. And we not only simulated shell elements by using finite element software (Ls-Dyna), also calculated analytical solutions to verification this elements.
