摘要


因應與莫斯科航空學院(Moscow Aviation Institute,MAI)合作的台俄衛星計畫,開發量測電離層中大氣暉光的衛星酬載,以光電倍增管為感測器,以微控制器做為控制核心,配合周邊硬體電路、Lutos微作業系統及機構之光筒設計,沿軌道正下方、下方往前45度,下方往後45度觀測三個方向,紅光、紫外光兩種不同波長的輝光強度,觀測空間解析度為地平上空250KM水平面,FOV軌跡寬度25KM,記錄三個方向掃過區域的兩種波段的暉光值,利用反演算法或斷層掃描的技術重建三維的電離層電子濃度分佈。最後以電路模擬光電倍增管輸出電子訊號對本系統進行性能驗證。

In order to design the Space Weather Instrument Package SWIP scientific payload for the MAI 2012 Micro Satellite for measuring the ionospheric electron density distribution, the Photon-Multiplier-Tomography PMTomo instrument is developed to construct tomography for 135.6 nm and 630.0 nm airglow. There are three legs, each consist of a pair of photon multiplier tubes for the two airglow colors, pointing in nadir, forward 45 degree and backward 45degree directions. The three legs are aligned with the satellite orbit so that their footprints overlap with each other and their data are suitable for tomography inversion. The field of view of the PMTomo collimator is designed to have footprints no larger than 25km at the height of 250km. A tiny micro controller in each leg is used for photon counting in 24 bits and the transmission of counting data and status flags to the managing controller PMT MCU for buffering and interfacing with the digital processing unit DPU of the satellite.
