「小說族」及其作家作品研究──以林黛嫚、詹玫君、陳稼莉為例

摘要


廿世紀八○年代末期,一群校園新興女作家所帶領的「小說族」風潮,掀起台灣文壇文學作品商業化與消費化的爭論。這些以校園學生情感與都會愛情故事為創作主題的作家,成為消費社會中的勝利者,也改變了台灣出版社的出版方向,使文學創作逐漸向商業靠攏。   本論文一方面探討「小說族」的興起原因與當時台灣社會背景關係,再則另方面分析林黛嫚、詹玫君與陳稼莉的作品,藉由文本閱讀與小說創作主題的相互輝映,整理出「小說族」群體的創作特色:題材接近現實生活、故事架構淺白易懂、情節推演則難免於「千篇一律」的模式。而在三位作家的文本討論中,筆者亦嘗試整理出各自的創作特色,以對比出不同於「小說族」的風格。身為校園的年輕創作者,其青澀的創作筆法與淺薄的社會經歷,往往造成「小說族」作家作品的簡單化,但也有反映社會現況與女性自我覺醒的呈現。人生閱歷是成熟創作的最佳導師,設若他們持續寫作,可預期的是,多年的社會淬煉與生命的沉澱,必定有助於創作出更高層次的文學作品。

In the end of 1990s, a trend of “Novel Group” led by the new female writers stirred up the argument of commercialization and consumerization of Taiwanese literature works. These writers become the victors in the consuming society as their stories centered on campus relationship and urban love stories. This also changed the publication direction in Taiwan’s publication industry, making the literature writing approaching commercialized.      The present thesis investigates that the rise of “Novel Group” had absolute relationship with the social background of Taiwan at that time. The new promotion method broke the distance between the readers and the author. Light material and content met the reading taste of the readers. Plus, the best seller billboard created the trend of “Novel Group.” As many future stars rose and the awakening of self-awareness of the authors, this trend was gradually quiet down.   This thesis analyzed the works written by Lin Dai Man, Zheng Mei Gun, and Chen Chia Li. Through reading and the theme of the novel, the features of “Novel Group” were sorted out: the material was close to reality, the frame was simple and understandable, and the plots were all them same. Among the discussion about the text of these three authors, their creation characters were being generalized. Immature writings and shallow social experiences resulted in the simple of the works of “Novel Group.” However, some presented the social situation and female self-awareness. After years of social challenge and life precipitation, higher level literature works can be created.
