日治時期台灣歌仔冊中的「自由戀愛」敘事研究

摘要

現代性從日治時期開始大量進入生活之中，無論是實質的事物抑或是抽象的思想，都在在改變了台灣人的日常文化。為了改善傳統的父母包辦婚姻制度，知識分子以「文明婚姻」、「自由戀愛」為口號，向青年男女宣揚婚戀的自主權，不僅是中上階層閱讀的報章雜誌中，可以看到為數不少的探討與論辯，就連以底層百姓為閱聽群眾的通俗文學歌仔冊，也能發現婚姻與戀愛改良的議題，融入在歌仔內容中。因此本文先耙梳在台灣的現代性是如何隨著五四時期的餘韻影響到日治時期，過後再將問題重心擺放於歌仔冊中自由戀愛各種樣態與類型的展現，並進一步討論歌仔先在歌仔的編寫當中，將自己作為媒介去感知、調整與傳遞現代性與西方文化，其中歌仔先所秉持的態度與立場。

Modernity suggests a new form of life in Taiwan since the period of Japanese occupation; it changes Taiwanese culture in terms of concrete thing or abstract thought. Intellectuals use the civilized marriage and free love as the slogan to advocate young people’s decision-making power in love and marriage for the improvement of the traditional marriage system that has long been organized by the parents, and this subject has been discussed and debated not only in the articles and magazines that are normally read by the middle and upper classes, but also in Taiwanese ballads (Kua-a-tsheh) which most of the readers are people in the lower class. This thesis will firstly investigates how modernity in Taiwan from The may fourth movement period influences the period of Japanese occupation. Secondly, the focus is to unfold the types of free love in Taiwanese ballads (Kua-a-tsheh). Thirdly, the discussion is ballad writer’s attitude when ballad writer perceives, adjusts, and communicates modernity and western culture in the composition of Taiwanese ballads.
