青少年階段新台灣之子的學習狀況之探究

A study of adolescents’ learning condition from immigrant marriage families

摘要


全球化影響社會流動,尤以婚姻移民成為地區主要移入人口的來源。本研究以鍾鳳嬌、王國川在2004年針對屏東縣內埔鄉9所國民小學及帅稚園4~10歲外籍配偶子女的語文、心智能力發展與學習狀況調查中115位研究對象,於2011年中,這些新台灣之子已分別進入國中與高中職及專科學校,本研究針對其中70位青少年階段新台灣之子的學習狀況做調查研究。研究的目的包括: 1.了解青少年階段新台灣之子學業表現、學習問題、學習行為、學習動機現況。 2.分析不同背景變項、學業表現、學習問題的青少年階段新台灣之子其學習行為之差異。 3.分析不同背景變項、學業表現、學習問題的青少年階段新台灣之子其學習動機之差異。 4.探究青少年階段新台灣之子學習行為與學習動機的關係。 5.探究不同背景變項、學業表現、學習問題的青少年階段新台灣之子其學習行為的預測力。 6.探究不同背景變項、學業表現、學習問題的青少年階段新台灣之子其學習動機的預測力。 本研究採用問卷調查法,分別以孟瑛如與陳麗如(2001)所編製的「國民中小學學習行為特徵檢核表、國民中小學學習行為特徵初選表」及劉政宏、黃博聖 、蘇嘉鈴、陳學志、吳有城(2010)所編製的「國中小學習動機量表」為工具。研究結果發現: 1.研究對象中父親無工作的比例佔全部的1/4、最近一次月考成績(班上排名)有57%屬於中後段。 2.學業表現以「數學科成績」,學習問題以「書寫表達表現」,學習行為以「理解與表達問題」,學習動機以「情感分量」最差。 3.不同背景變項中「最近一次月考成績(班上排名)」、學業表現、學習問題在新台灣之子學習行為的比較分析上有顯著的差異。 4.不同背景變項中「最近一次月考成績(班上排名)」、學業表現,學習問題中「注意力表現、記憶力表現、理解表現、口語表達表現、書寫表達表現」在新台灣之子的學習動機分析上有顯著的差異。 5.學習行為與學習動機有顯著的負相關。 6.不同背景變項中「最近一次月考成績(班上排名)」、學業表現、學習問題對學習行為有顯著的預測力。 7.不同背景變項中「母親國籍、家庭每月帄均收入、最近一次月考成績(班上排名)」、學業表現、學習問題中「注意力表現、理解表現、口語表達表現、書寫表達表現、社會適應表現、情緒表現」對學習動機有顯著的預測力。 根據青少年階段新台灣之子學業表現、學習問題與學習狀況之研究結果,提出建議作為往後教育與輔導青少年階段新台灣之子時使用。 關鍵字:青少年階段、新台灣之子、學業表現、學習問題、學習狀況

The globalization has an influence on social mobility, and such mobility reflects especially on the marriage immigrants, who become a major group of immigrant population. This study, based on Chung, Feng-chiao and Wang, Kuo-chuan’s study in 2004, focuses on the literacy, psychological mental development, and learning conditions of 115 sample children between the age of 4 to ten of immigrant marriage families in 9 kindergartens and primary schools in Nei-pu township. Until last year in 2011, these former children of immigrant marriage families now individually enter high schools and vocational schools, and 70 adolescents of whom are again as the subjects of this study as the researcher investigates their present conditions. The purposes of this study are as follows: 1. to understand the academic performances, learning problems, learning behaviors, and learning motivations of these adolescents from immigrant marriage families; 2. to analyze how these adolescents with different backgrounds, academic performances, learning problems vary in their learning behaviors; 3. to analyze how these adolescents with different backgrounds, academic performances, learning problems vary in their learning motivations; 4. to find out the relationship between their learning behaviors and learning motivations; 5. to find out the predictability of learning behaviors of these adolescents with different backgrounds, academic performances, and learning problems; 6. to find out the predictability of learning motivations of these adolescents with different backgrounds, academic performances, and learning problems. This study adopts questionnaires as the research tools; the questionnaires are made based on the Learning Characteristics Checklist for Primary and Junior High School Students (Ying-ju Meng and Li-ru Chen, 2001) and the Learning Motivation Scale for Primary and Junior High School Students (Cheng-Hong Liu, Po-Sheng Huang, Chia-Ling Su, Hsueh-Chih Chen, and Yo-Chen Wu, 2010). The study results are described as follows. 1. The adolescents whose fathers have no jobs are of 25 percent of the whole samples; 57 percent among whom have their recent monthly grades and the grade-rankings are in the bottom half of each class. 2. Regarding the academic performances, the subjects get the lowest scores in math subject; regarding the learning difficulties, the subjects get the lowest scores in writing; regarding the learning behaviors, the subjects get the lowest scores in understanding and expressing problems, and regarding the learning motivations, the subjects get the lowest scores in learning emotions. 3. Among different background variables of the adolescents of immigrants’ marriage families, the recent monthly grades of the subjects (their grade-rankings in the class), their academic performances, and their learning problems have significant differences in the analysis of their learning. 4. Among different background variables of the subjects, the recent monthly grades of the subjects, their grade-rankings in the class, their academic performances, and the conducting of focusing, remembering, understanding, oral expressing, and writing in the samples’ learning processes have significant differences in the analysis of their learning motivations. 5. A significant negative correlation exists between learning behaviors and learning motivations. 6. Among different background variables of the adolescents of immigrant marriage families, the recent monthly grades of the subjects, their grade-rankings in the class, their academic performances, and their learning problems have significant predictions. 7. Among different background variables of the subjects, mothers’ nationalities, families’ average monthly incomes, the recent monthly grades of the subjects, their grade-rankings in the class, their academic performances, and the conducting of focusing, understanding, oral expressing, writing, social adapting, and emotions of the subjects’ have significant predictability to learning motivations. According to the results of the adolescents' academic performances, learning problems, and learning conditions from immigrant marriage families, some suggestions are provided to help in the education and counseling for the adolescents from immigrant marriage families.
