類戴奧辛化合物以許多型態之異構物存在於環境中,來源主要是人類活動,包括可能經由熱處理,如:焚化、化工製程…等等,形成多氯二聯苯戴奧辛和多氯二聯苯呋喃(Polychlorinated Dibenzo-p-Dioxin/Furans,PCDD/Fs)。本研究以石化工業區附近養殖魚塭中底泥進行PCDD/Fs和多氯聯苯(polychlorinated biphenyl,PCBs)之濃度測定與影響情況。結果顯示,底泥中∑PCDD/Fs優勢物種為OCDD,毒性當量介於0.18-1.62 pg WHO-TEQ/g (d.w.),主要物種為2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF、2,3,7,8-TCDD及1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD; 底泥中∑PCBs毒性當量介於1.22E-02 – 0.17 pg WHO-TEQ/g (d.w.) ,主要物種為PCB#126、PCB#169。以Fugacity Level III模擬之∑PCDD/Fs毒性當量為0.27 pg WHO-TEQ/g,主要物種為OCDD、OCDF。
Dioxin-like compounds are toxic, ubiquitous contaminants that are unintentionally released into environments as by products. Polychlorinated dibenzo-pdioxins and furans (PCDD/Fs) are formed via thermal processes such as incineration and chemical production processes and so on. This study describes measurements of PCDD/Fs and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs) in the sediment at several sites located around the petroleum industrial park. The results indicate that the total concentration of the 17 toxic PCDD/Fs congeners showed a similar trend at all sites. In the ponds’samples, the homologue distribution was more uniform and OCDD dominated the PCDD/Fs. Total TEQs of PCDD/Fs in sediments from within the fish ponds ranged between 0.18 and 1.62 pg WHO-TEQ/g (d.w.). The relative toxic potential for the studied samples was estimated by calculating toxic equivalents relative to 2,3,7,8-TCDD (TEQs). 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF, 2,3,7,8-TCDD and 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD dominated for TEQs contribution in sediment samples. Total TEQ of PCBs in sediment from within the fish ponds ranged between 1.22E-02 and 0.17 pg WHO-TEQ/g (d.w.). PCB#126 and PCB#169 dominated for TEQs contribution. This indicates the occurrence and distribution of Dioxin-like contaminants in sediment collected in the polluted area around a petroleum plant. In Fugacity Level III simulated distribution , total TEQs of PCDD/Fs was 0.27 pg WHO-TEQ/g, and dominated by OCDD and OCDF.
