The chemical industry manufactures products through chemical reactions. Product compatibility is one of the factors needing consideration when arranging a schedule. When two batches of products are compatible, they can be produced on the same equipment; otherwise, the equipment needs to be cleaned before continuing producing, which will cause delays in p. However, the compatibility of products can only be known through tests. The case company produces a large number of products so that compatibility tests among all products cannot be conducted thoroughly. In this study, a compatibility table based on test records is built. Through rearranging the sorting sequences from the table, products which are compatible with each other come together, and can be classified and analyzed. As a result, this study can help the production management staff use it as a reference to reduce the time for arranging the production plan.
