光復後至1950年代台灣文藝雜誌封面設計研究

摘要

獨特的時代背景，豐富了台灣的歷史脈絡與文化發展，也造就風格多元且具特色的設計環境，依藝術社會學之論述，藝術作品與社會具有密切的互動關係，社會因素足以影響藝術作品的表現風格與內涵，因此本研究擬以光復後至1950年間，台灣出版的文藝雜誌封面為研究對象，以瞭解封面設計表現與社會環境之關連。首先透過文獻分析與田野調查法蒐集、歸納相關資料，分析封面的表現形式與內容；其次為探討當時台灣的時代背景、文學發展、出版印刷、美術與設計發展等概況；最後則綜合比對前兩項分析結果，以歸納出外在環境因素對封面設計的影響，以及相互的作用。研究結果如下：
一、封面設計表現形式
本研究分別從封面的構成元素，包括(一) 圖像要素、(二)文字要素、(三)色彩要素、(四)版型要素等，分析其表現特徵。

二、封面設計表現內容
光復後至1950年代，主要的表現內容包括「愛國思想與回歸祖國的歌頌」、「以人物或事件為主題」、「地方景觀與建設」、「社會寫實的描繪」、「多元文化的呈現」、「與雜誌名稱或內容主題呼應的設計」、「特殊紀念日的圖像使用」。
本研究嘗試以外在環境的角度進行檢測，探求封面設計與外在環境的關連，發現政治環境的特殊性，為影響當時設計風格最主要的關鍵因素，尤其在「圖像」要素的表現上最為明顯。種種因素使得此時期封面設計呈現多元的特徵，乃是政治環境不穩定下的反映。

The unusual period not only enriches Taiwan’s history and culture development, but also brings up a diversely unique design environment. According to art sociology that each artwork has close interaction with its’ society, social elements could influence the performance and content of an artwork. Thus, this research is based on literature magazine covers of Taiwan publication during 1945~1950’s, and the purpose is try to understand the connection between performance of cover design and social environment.
Firstly, researcher try to use methods of documents analysis and fieldwork to collect and induce data, analyze the form of expression and contents of covers；Secondly, discussing the general situation of the times background, literature development, publish printing, and art design；Lastly, integrating the former two findings and tend to find out external factors which influence cover design and its’ mutual influences.
The finding of this research can divided into the following two aspects:
1.The expressions of cover design
By analyzing four elements of cover design, which include (1) Icon elements (2) Word elements (3) color elements (4) Layout elements. And indicate what’s the characteristics.
2.The contents of cover design
The main expression of content during year 1945-1950’s characteristics include “ patriotic thinking and extolling the returning”, “people or event as subject ”, “local landscape and construction”, “description of social reality”, “display of diverse cultures ”, “respond to magazine title or content theme”, and “commemoration icons using ”.
And the results of this research show the specifically political environment is mainly key factor that influence the style of design , which obviously expressed on icon elements. Many analysis show the diverse cover design in this certain period reflected political instable.
