「珍線禽」─臺灣特有種鳥類插畫創作與研究

摘要

臺灣本島位於得天獨厚的熱帶與亞熱帶地區，多樣化的氣候類型和地形變化，造就臺灣的生態有著獨特、複雜、豐富且珍貴之特性。放眼世界，臺灣特有種在密度比例上，位居世界第七高的國家，遠高於其他領地寬闊的國家，因此豐富且獨特的特有種，成為了臺灣驕傲的象徵。鳥類，無疑是外形最為亮麗且聲調最為高雅之動物，除了魚類外，牠們是世界上族群數量最多的脊椎動物，理應時常可一探其蹤跡。

1995年前的臺灣，對於特有種鳥類數量的印象仍停留於14種，這種刻板印象直到了2000年後出現變化，如今臺灣特有種鳥類已新增至24種，突顯臺灣生態之豐富性，更令人期待未來新物種的納入。隨著高科技時代的席捲趨勢，在舒適便利的生活型態背後，生態環境所要負擔的代價龐大，大自然原始幽靜的模樣早已變調。有專家學者表示，人們長時間處於塵囂之中，更需要自然環境來緩和及紓解壓力及情緒，進而達到身心靈的滿足；然而隨著人為因素的破壞，許多特有種鳥類遭受到生存浩劫，對同樣生活於臺灣這塊寶地上的人們來說，保護這些美麗飛羽是責任，更是義務，只因這些獨生於臺灣的珍禽一旦消失，就再也無法尋回。

有鑑於此，創作者將依據「臺灣野生動物保育法」，被列為「保育等級」之11種特有種鳥類為創作核心，並依據政府及民間代表團體單位：中華民國野鳥協會、行政院農業委員會林務局、臺灣大百科全書生態知識網以及臺灣博物館歷史新聞網，彙整該11種特有種鳥類所遭受不同的威脅，將其細分為：「失翼」、「假象」、「思綠」、「失根」及「禁補」等五種項目，作為本創作之主軸核心。

本創作藉由插畫藝術之「手繪方式」並結合「黑白裝飾畫」風格，顯現鳥類形體之美；並透過手繪中的「線條情感」，抒發創作者對插畫藝術的熱忱，「黑白裝飾畫」是利用無彩度色系之「黑灰白」來構成畫面，此種畫風常被稱為「無彩繽紛」，因黑白兩色雖在色彩學被定義為無彩度色系，卻有「彩度」色系的明度相應表現，因此黑白裝飾畫能使觀者從畫面中，得到繽紛的視覺感受。當手繪線條融入黑白裝飾畫特色時，通常需要創作者的生活經驗、感受與需求三者相互醞釀，透過線條的訴說，使埋藏人類內心深處的豐沛情感，將其充分展現。此類作品主題，多為源於社會大眾共同的生活感受與體會，亦或人們所關注之議題，如同上述特有種鳥類保育議題。作者希望此創作讓觀者留下「美」的印象外，更冀望能喚醒人們對於臺灣特有種鳥類之保育共識與省思。

Taiwan island is in tropical area and subtropical area specially. The variety kinds of weather and terrain cause complicated, unique and particular characteristics of this island, and both have the plentiful, complete ecology. To see all, the proportion of the special creatures is higher than other big countries, is the seventh of the whole world. The generous and unique special creatures become the honor of Taiwan. Birds, no doubt, have the most elegant shape and most bright tone of the other animals, and they are the biggest groups of vertebra animals. So, people must pay attention on them.

Before year 1995, the image of special creature birds is stay in 14 kinds, this stereotype has changed until year 2000, now the special creature birds in Taiwan have gained to 24 kinds. The change shows the fullness of Taiwan’s ecology; we are looking forward to see more new kinds of animals. Through the trend of high technology society, we have to pay more consideration upon the comfortable and convenient life style. Nature has change not as original and quiet as before. And reported by professor and researcher, people stay in busy life for a long time should relax the pressure by natural environment. But through the damage of human reasons, lots of special creatures birds meet the tragedy of surviving. We, as the human also live in same pretty islands, have the most responsibility to protect those beautiful wings. If the precious, special creatures, birds once not exit anymore, we have no chance to get them back.

Because of this, the creators depend on the list of the Wildlife Conservation Act of Taiwan use the list categories of the special creatures as the heart of creation, total list 11 kinds. At the same time the government and society groups units：the Chinese Wild Bird Federation, the Forestry Bureau, the Encyclopedia of Taiwan and the National Taiwan Museum combines these 11 kinds of special creatures to different threats, includes 5 sets:「the lost of wings」,「the infection」,「the desire of green」,「the lost of seeds」and「not haunting」as the direct heart of the creation.

This creation use 「hand drawing」and「the type of black and white decorations」as the performance of illustration. Through the way of illustration arts to see the beauty of birds shapes, and also through the feeling of line in the draws to express the enthusiasm of the creators. The black and white decoration paintings name by「black, gray and white」, the no color type to form the view. This kind of type usually describes it「no color but colorful」because although black and white indented as no color, but has the expression of the power colorful. So, black and white decoration paintings give watcher the most colorful feeling while watching. When the hand drawing lines combines into black and white decoration painting, it usually relates to life experience, the needs, and the sense of the life. The deep desire inside human hearts which has lots of feelings could express by line drawings of the creators. Most of these creations are original by the same experiences of the people in same life and society, and focus on the same question or problems that people concern as in this environment. As we mentioned about the focus of special creature birds, this characteristic shows the same target and meaning. The creation uses the expression of illustration in order to leave the image of beauty it the watcher, and also the protection of special creature birds by people in Taiwan island.
