臺灣排灣族的古陶壺對排灣族人而言,有十分重要之意義。在排灣族的傳統概念裡陶壺與族人的關係密切,而陶壺也是祖靈在人間的居所,且還隱含著人與地之間的再建構關係。因此,國立自然科學博物館策劃這項「祖靈的居所—臺灣排灣族古陶壺展」。 為了讓觀眾更能理解陶壺對於臺灣排灣族人們的重要性,所以此展覽的視覺設計將利用各種不同的手法來串聯各個展品之間的相對關係,如:採用穿透與輕巧的材質,或是利用咖啡色系等昏暗色調來表達整體視覺空間意涵,達到詮釋陶壺的意義,透過這些展示手法與整體視覺空間呈現,讓觀眾更能進入排灣族的情境氛圍,理解排灣族人相關的文化內涵。
The ancient pottery is the very vital significance for the Paiwan tribe in Taiwan. The relationship between the pottery and people is very close in the Paiwan’s traditional concept. Pottery is not only the living house for their ancestor’s soul but also a reconstructed relationship between people and land impliedly. Therefore, the National Museum of Natural Science organizes the “Ancient Pottery of the Paiwan Tribe in Taiwan Special Exhibition”. In order to understand the importance of ancient pottery for Paiwan tribe, the visual design of exhibition takes various methods to connect the relative relationships among all exhibit objects. For instance, to take a perspective and ethereal material, to use a dim series of coffee color for expressing the overall visual of space atmosphere and reaching the interpretation of Paiwan pottery. Visitors can easily get into the Paiwan’s cultural contents and ambiance through the space display of these methods and visual design.
