In the past, building space were the first considerations in campus planning, and then playground, recreational space and public space design. At last, fill up the remaining space with simple featureless planting; ignoring spatial planning and the needs of users. Campus planning has an invisible influence to the physical and mental health of teachers, staffs, and students. The best way to improve the environmental quality is through the planting of campus. In this study, different campus planting forms such as: trees, shrubs, grass; a single-layer or multilayer planting; with waterscape, sculpture, and different landscape stone, are used as the photo of questionnaire. Investigating how user's preference and activities applicability of campus influence the environment satisfaction. The objective is to understand user’s preferences on the campus landscape and to provide reference for the managers in planning and designing the campus. Results reveal that in landscape preference, users have significant preference for trees, multilayer planting, and waterscape. Personal attributes and different usage hobby cause significant differences in landscape preferences, activities applicability, and campus environment satisfaction. Finally, landscape preferences and cultural activities applicability have significantly positively impact on the campus environment satisfaction.
