This study was designed to investigate the effects of promoting financial education at the elementary school. The information of the returned questionnaires is analyzed under the statistic way, and taking 6th graders as the research objects. The results are as follows: 1. The effects of promoting financial education in metropolitan area are higher than non-metropolitan areas. 2. Elementary school curriculum guidelines included financial competence indicators would shorten the urban-rural gap. According to the results, and make recommendations to educational institution. 1. The government should put more resources in non-metropolitan areas of schools and policy can be implemented overall. 2. Recommend that education authorities revise curriculum guidelines can include financial concepts to enhance students' financial concept of non-metropolitan areas.
