本篇論文是透過 Floquet-Bloch理論,來針對高階布拉格 DBR (Distributed Bragg Reflector)結構進行分析。在進行高階的模擬時,因為 negetive harmonic 進入到快波區,所以會有Leaky harmonic或是 Confinement harmonic ,此時就牽涉到論文中的兩個重點,1. proper solution 或 improper solution 的Branch Cut 選擇問題,與2. 輻射損失的計算。本論文針對 proper solution 和 improper solution 的區域重新定義,並透過此定義來計算二階到七階的等效折射率與波長關係圖與頻譜圖,最後再利用 proper solution 和 improper solution,來分析 Branch choice 的問題。
In this thesis, we analyze High-order Bragg condition of DBR (Distributed Bragg Reflector) structures by using Floquet-Bloch theory. When negative harmonics enter the Fast wave region, the harmonics need to be determined to be leaky or confinement. We discuss two important problems: First, the branch choice of proper or improper solutions, and Second, the calculation of radiation loss. In this thesis, we define the regions of proper and improper solutions in dispersion relationship. Moreover, the Bragg condition from the second to the seventh of DBR structures are simulated. The transmission, reflection and radiation spectrum with the ω-β plot are presented in this study. Finally, we analyze the branch choice problems by choosing proper solutions and improper solutions.
