茂金屬聚乙辛烯彈性體/己二酸丁二酯-對苯二甲酸丁二酯共聚物之化學發泡研究

Foaming of Poly(ethylene-co-1-octene)/Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) Using A Chemical Blowing Agent

摘要


本研究使用兩種混和方法,第一種是以茂金屬聚乙烯辛烯(POE)和馬來酸酐接枝POE(POE-MA)混合,第二種則是以茂金屬聚乙烯辛烯(POE) 和己二酸丁二酯–對苯二甲酸丁二酯共聚物(PBAT)混合,添加ZnO.ZnSt和有機過氧化物(DCP)做為交聯劑與之混合,以ADCA做為發泡劑,改變ADCA與POE-MA的量為加工條件的發泡實驗,觀察發泡後的結構去探討發泡密度與使用添加劑對發泡的影響。 由交聯度和外觀的比較結果可以看出,POE-MA除了當作POE和PBAT的橋梁外,還能夠幫助ADCA發泡劑、DCP交聯劑均勻的混合在高分子中。 添加PBAT作為補強,能改善POE/POE-MA在SEM照片中,氣泡生長的規律和穩定性。

In this paper, two polymer foam systems were studied to investigate the effect of maleic anhydride grafted - ethylene octene metallocene copolymer (POE-MA) : poly(ethylene - co - 1-octene) (a polyolefin elastomer , POE) and its blend with poly(butylene adipate - co - terephthalate) (PBAT). The foaming formulations, in addition to the polymers, included zinc oxide, zinc stearate, POE-MA, dicumyl peroxide (DCP, as a crosslinker), and azodicarbonamide (ADCA, as a foaming agent). Foam cell structure observations, gel content measurements and compression set experiments were employed to evaluate the performance of the foams with different amounts of ADCA, DCP and POE-MA. Judging from the degree of crosslinking and foam appearance, POE-MA could play the role as a compatiblizer between POE and PBAT, and could also act as a dispersion agent for DCP and ADCA in the mixtures. It was also found that the blending of PBAT into POE had the effects of strengthening the foams and making the foam cell size to be more uniform.
