互動式電子書對腹膜透析病人學習成效及生活品質之探討

An investigation of interactive electronic book in learning benefits and quality of life in peritoneal dialysis patients.

摘要


本研究採類實驗性設計,研究對象為常規腹膜透析病人,實驗組接受互動式電子書衛教共40人,對照組以傳統的紙本執行衛教40人。研究以結構式問卷進行資料收集,問卷量表包括知識問卷量表、SF36生活品質量表及生活滿意度量表,再以描述性及推論性統計:獨立樣本t 檢定、卡方檢定、成對樣本t 檢定、皮爾森相關分析學習成效。 研究結果發現實驗組男女為15人/25人,平均年齡為48.07歲,對照組男女為13人/27人,平均年齡為49.36歲。實驗組與對照組的照護知識由14.23分上升至20.73分、14.23分上升至19.93分,皆有顯著增加(p<.001)。生活品質部分,實驗組心裡健康由62分上升為70分,對照組由68.8分下降為61.7分(p<.027)。生活滿意度部分,實驗組在我對我的生活感到滿意由3.98分上升至4.05分,對照組由4.05分下降為3.75分。 互動式電子書藉由聲音、影像、動畫、圖片等視、聽感官的刺激效果,並搭配讀者自行操作,反覆觀看與學習,增加自我照護知識及提升生活品質。

Patient education is one of the key components for success in peritoneal dialysis (PD) therapy. Present study compared the differential benefits between paper version and interactive electronic book in PD patients. The study was a quasi-experimental, randomized, parallel-group control design. Subjects who received PD therapy for at least one month were enrolled. Forty participants were recruited respectively in Exp group (electronic book) and Control group (paper version). Mean age was 48.07 y/o in Exp group, 49.36 y/o in Control group, male/female 15/25 vs 13/27. Participants were evaluated by scoring methods including PD techniques, satisfaction, quality of life (QoL) (SF-36) at baseline and post-educational program. All participants demonstrated to increase scores in PD techniques evaluation after educational program, Exp group 14.23 to 20.73, Control group 14.23 to 19.93. In satisfaction evaluation, Exp group increased scores from 3.98 to 4.05, Control group decreased from 4.05 to 3.75. Quality of life (QoL) evaluation by SF-36 scores, Exp group showed increased scores in role physical, vitality, mental health, social function, general health. In contrary, Control group showed decreased scores in majority items of SF-36 except bodily pain. Present study revealed interactive electronic book demonstrated more benefits than paper version in patient satisfaction and QoL improvement in PD patients.
