應用層級分析法探討高中職學生選系因素--以南部某私立大學進修部為例

Application of AHP on Major Decision for High School Students: A Case Study of Continuing Education of Private University in Southern Taiwan

摘要


近年來各大專校院因少子女化衝擊及大專校院數量過多,導致招生情形日趨嚴重,大專院校數量的減少跟不上生源的逐年驟減,招生市場已形成供過於求的窘境。研究者任職於私立大學招生單位,有感少子女化及大專校院數增加所帶來的招生衝擊,希冀藉此研究結果了解高中職學生的考量因素、需求及偏好,供招生單位擬定招生策略及因應對策,以因應現今招生困境。本研究旨在運用層級分析法探討高中職學生進行科系選擇時評估之因素。首先透過文獻回顧歸納出選系因素構面及評估準則,再透過專家問卷填寫及評估後剔除不必要項目,建立層級結構,建構出四項構面及十九項評估準則。並以欲就讀、就讀中或畢業於南部某私立大學進修部學生為研究對象填寫層級分析法問卷,探討其選擇科系時所考量因素。透過研究結果分析發現,高中職學生在進行科系選擇時,評選構面之重要性依序為「個人因素」、「現實因素」及「社會因素」,而「學校因素」之重要性則較不顯著;在總體評估準則中則是以「個人興趣」為學生選擇科系時優先考量之因素,依序為「就業前景」、「個人能力」、「學費考量」及「他人評價」,並根據研究結果綜合結論提出招生建議。

In recent years, with the low-birth rate and the increasing number of colleges and universities in Taiwan, the higher education environment became more competitive. Therefore, this study aimed to apply Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish and explore the crucial factors affecting students’ major decision, the needs and preferences of students. Based on the literature review and the recommendations of experts, a hierarchical structure was built, including four main factors, namely, personal factors, reality factors, social factors and school factors, and corresponding nineteen determinants. AHP questionnaire was utilized to investigate the determinants of students. In addition, the participants of the study were the graduates of high schools and universities, as well as the students in private university. The results showed that students considered both personal factor and reality factor as important determinants. Moreover, the results indicated that the determinants of students are as in following sequence: personal interests, employability, capability, tuition and the evaluation of others. It is hoped that the present study provides colleges and universities with insightful suggestions to recruit students.
