Since Taiwan has shifted from compulsory duty to the system of recruiting and mobilizing, the officers and men of volunteers have gradually become an indispensable and important role. The retention ratio of army is relatively important. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore why the retention ratio has not increased relatively, but instead to reduce army retention. This study is aimed at the military officers of a certain unit of the national army to explore the impact of military work pressure on job satisfaction and retention. A total of 200 valid questionnaires were collected in this study. The results of the study suggest that the level work pressure in the military does not have a significant impact on job satisfaction, but rather the level of job satisfaction has a positive impact on retention. Higher satisfaction will increase retention, and the relative lack of satisfaction will result in the loss of the military. The results of this study can be used to compile construction, effectiveness conclusions, and recommendations to help the work in a refined manner, and to provide the national army to improve the retention rate and related measures. It also enables the willingness of officers and soldiers to continue for army retention.
