As the advances of information and communication technologies, map has evolved from paper map to electronic map. By using smart phones with e-map the users can perform positioning, navigation, and inquiry. This thesis investigates the behavior and satisfaction of the personnel in a military organization in Taichung who uses smart phone navigation. Based on the UGT and TAM theory four basic variables, i.e., gender, age, position, and education, are used as factors for exploring the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, user behavior, and satisfaction. The research results are as follows. The users frequently use smart phones for Internet surfing and searching information, but are dissatisfied with the voice navigation. There are differences in the use of navigation indication and overall satisfaction of navigation between male and female users. Moreover, the younger the users, the more they use their smart phones to navigate and search tourist attractions. And officers and sergeants differ in the ease of navigation operation and satisfaction with route planning. Finally, the users who have the bachelor degree are most satisfied with smart phone navigation. The further study may include extending the questionnaire and exploring more factors that could affect the user behavior and satisfaction.
