臺灣1981-2016年間金融部門的成長因素探討

摘要

經濟成長不僅只是一個國家的競爭力指標，也更是一個國家國力強弱的象徵，因此提升經濟的成長率一直都是政策實施的主要目標及重點。然而，影響一個國家經濟成長的因素族繁不及備載，故有許多學者提出不同的經濟成長理論，其目的不外乎是為了要了解經濟的現況以及找出國家未來經濟政策的依據做為參考，以追求經濟成長與社會福利的提昇。本文蒐集臺灣1981至2016年間的資料，藉以探討臺灣自進入80年代的自由化以後，金融部門的成長變化要因，以Leontief (1966)及Miyazawa (2002)的「I-O模型」為基礎，修正Torii & Fukasaku的「鳥居-深作模型」，同時並採用「競爭輸入型產業關聯」建立金融產業變化要因模型，希望能藉由探討臺灣金融部門成長變化因素，有效掌握臺灣未來的金融部門的趨勢。實證結果發現在研究期間會導致金融產業生產金額有所變化的要因有五項，其分別為國內最終需要、輸出、最終財貨輸入、國內自給率以及投入技術，且這五個要因皆會因為受到國際情勢或是臺灣自身的金融政策而有所改變。又實證結果顯示經濟成長會改變金融發展，金融發展的變化也會讓經濟成長發生改變。

Economic growth is not only an indicator of competitiveness of a country but also a sign of a nation’s economic strength/weakness. Therefore, the improvement of economic growth rate has been the overall objective of the policy implementation. However, there are numerous factors that could affect the economic growth of a country. Consequently, many researchs have proposed different theories related to the economic growth and financial development, and the purposes of which are to understand the economic conditions and to find out the basis of future economic policies for reference, so as to improve economic growth and social welfare. The paper uses time series data of Taiwan covering the periods from 1981 to 2016 to explore the reasons for the economic changes of financial department since the liberalization of the financial market in Taiwan in the 1980s. In the present study, we employed Leontief (1966) and Miyazawa’s (2002) I/O Model, Torii -Fukasaku Model and Input Output Growth Factor Model to build a change factor model for financial industries in order to investigate the trend of the development of financial department. The empirical results show that financial development and economic growth are influenced by five factors, namely domestic final demand, export, final goods import, domestic self-sufficiency and invested technology, which are affected by international situation or the financial policies in Taiwan. The results also suggest that economic growth leads financial department, and vice versa.
