國際化的競爭與挑戰已經是每個產業都必須面臨的問題,在國際化的態勢下,台灣傳統產業首當其衝,每個挑戰都是考驗著廠商臨機應變的能力。本文分析台灣社頭鄉織襪產業各個發展階段,發現其歷史發展特殊所產生的聚集效應,帶來許多廠商於此地設廠,雖然具有產業群聚優勢,但經過各個時期歷經的挑戰及困境,在時代的變遷下淘汰掉許多廠商。剩下的廠商當時如何渡過這些困境而轉型生存下來,成為我們最主要探討的議題。 本文採用個案研究法作為研究方法,以成功轉型的織襪領導廠商個案當中,運用產業外部PEST分析、五力分析,產業內部價值鏈分析及SWOT優劣分析、找出個案廠商面對各時期的挑戰時所應對的策略,以及使用哪些方法進行企業轉型,並且從中找出指標,讓面臨相同困境的織襪廠商能夠作為策略擬定的策略,提供指標讓織襪產業對於轉型有方向及參考的依據。
All of industry faces the challenge which is international competition. The traditional industry of Taiwan bear the brunt in the internationalization circumstances. The study analyzes each period of development of socks industry in Shetou Township Taiwan. The research finds that many manufacture set up factory in Shetou, because of the special critical mass. Although it has the advantage of critical mass, many manufacture was eliminated by challenge and difficulty of each period. Therefore, the paper aims to investigate how the manufacture over come the difficulty and be survival through transformation. The method to carry out this study was using case study method, and the successful transform socks company was as subject. The analysis used the PEST analysis, five forces analysis, value chain analysis and SWOT analysis. The results find how the manufacture implement strategy in each period and how to transform firm and finding the sign which let other socks manufacture to implement strategy in the difficulty and transformation.
