使用者想透過擁有的設備享用IMS相關服務,但如果這些設備未裝置USIM(UMTS Subscriber Identity Module)卡是無法享用IMS平台之相關的多媒體服務。

With the rapid development of mobile communication network technology, people can receive various services on the network anytime and anywhere through smart mobile devices. In the Next Generation Network (NGN), the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based on the All-IP network is an integrated platform for multimedia application services. At the same time, the advent of the Internet of Things has created many devices with capabilities of networking and multimedia processing around people’s lives. Users want to enjoy IMS-related services through their devices, but these devices do not equip with a UMTS Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) card, so they cannot enjoy the multimedia services related to the IMS platform. Taking a voice call service as an example, when dial/ answer a call, it can only be used by a smart mobile device with a USIM card. It is not possible to transfer this call to other user’s devices without a USIM card. To solve the IMS call service and continue the issues between IMS devices and none-IMS devices. To achieve “Session Mobility between IP multimedia Subsystem Devices and Non-IP Multimedia Subsystem Devices”, this thesis adopts a Gateway-based method for media session establish and session transfer on IMS devices and non-IMS devices.
