對於現代人來說,因為醫療衛生的發達、生活環境的改善,想要長壽並非遙不可及之事。銀髮族在退休後必須面臨閒暇時間驟增、身體機能逐漸退化、子女無法隨身照料、沒有特定的嗜好以及親友逐漸凋零等窘境,將容易導致在生理與心理健康層面產生危機。在人口迅速老化比我國更早、程度更甚的日本社會,為了幫助越來越多的老年人能夠有效獲得保持活力和機靈的方法,使得銀髮族專用的電子寵物早在十餘年前即已應運而生。 本研究將我國目前55歲至64歲、即將進入或者是剛進入退休生活的這群銀髮族定義為「新世代銀髮族」,並且希望藉由適當電子寵物的研發,而得以有效把握這段身心狀態與適應能力仍屬極佳的黃金時期,以提昇其後老年生活的整體品質。為了瞭解台灣新世代銀髮族對於電子寵物的偏好與需求,本研究採用問卷調查法進行研究,歸納出適合台灣新世代銀髮族的電子寵物設計原則。分析結論顯示台灣新世代銀髮族最偏好「動物擬態型造型」的電子寵物,最偏好的外觀色彩是「白色」。男性最偏好的配色方式是「模擬真實生物配色」,而女性最偏好的則是「繽紛活潑的卡通配色」。在外觀材質偏好方面,男性最偏好的是「有彈性的軟塑膠」,而女性最偏好的則是「柔軟的絨毛」。至於在電子寵物的體型大小方面,則是一致都偏好「中型」的體型大小。此項研究結論希望能提供業者作為擬訂台灣新世代銀髮族專用電子寵物研發策略時作為參考。
In modern societies, the living standard and the quality of medical care had improved significantly. Therefore, longer and healthier life is becoming much easier nowadays. The newly or potentially retiring senior citizens will have to face with many problems after their retirement, for instance, having too much free time suddenly, deteriorating physical health, gradually alienating children, lack of specific hobbies, and the passing away of relatives and friends, etc. Such problems will prone to cause physical and psychological crises ion these senior citizens. In Japan, their populations are ageing faster and earlier than in Taiwan. In order to ensure a more energetic and active retirement life for their senior citizens, various electric pets had been created in Japan for almost twenty years. This research defined people who are fifty-five to sixty-four years old as “New Young-olds”, and also intended to take this golden age while they are still in good physical and mental conditions, to enhance the living quality of their later life effectively with the right kinds of electronic pets. In order to explore the preferences and requirements of these “New Young-olds” in Taiwan for electronic pets, this research conducted a questionnaire survey. The results showed that they mostly prefer electric pets with white color and shape of real pets, with male respondents prefer electric pets that are shaped and colored like real pets, and the female respondents prefer electric pets that are shaped like real pets and colored vividly. In terms of the materials, the male respondents prefer soft flexible plastics, and the female respondents prefer soft fluff. In terms of the size of electric pets, all respondents prefer to have medium size. Wish that these conclusions will be able to provide the industries with useful reference for developing right kinds of electronic pets for “New Young-olds” in Taiwan.
