大量客製化與敏捷製造對競爭優勢的影響

摘要


企業的競爭優勢一直是永續生存的利基所在,在二十一世紀這個快速變遷的環境中,企業經常標榜以滿足顧客需求並且迅速回應市場能力來做為競爭利基。然而,為了提升競爭優勢,本研究發現:大量客製化和敏捷製造具有滿足顧客需求的競爭力,以及快速回應市場變化的能力與彈性之特質。因此,本研究期望透過瞭解並檢視大量客製化與敏捷製造這兩種做法對企業競爭優勢的影響。   本研究以大量客製化和敏捷製造與競爭優勢之間的關係做為研究架構。並以2005年商業周刊所公布的台灣製造業1,000大,便利性抽樣800家公司做為研究樣本,利用問卷調查進行資料收集。實證資料先用SPSS 12.0 for Windows統計軟體,進行探索性因子分析,再使用AMOS 5.0統計軟體進行結構方程式建模(Structural Equation Modeling, SEM)來分析,針對模型之配適度進行檢定,並評估各路徑之效果。   研究結果發現,大量客製化的做法對大量客製化的程度與敏捷製造的做法對敏捷製造的程度均顯著,而且大量客製化的程度和敏捷製造的程度對競爭優勢亦有顯著正向的影響。因此,欲提升企業的競爭優勢,本研究建議廠商可以先提升敏捷製造的程度著手,再進行大量客製化程度的提升。

The competitive advantage of companies is always a niche for them to survive. In the dynamic and uncertain environments of the 21st century, the niche of companies is to meet customer demands and respond quickly to the changing market requirements. Literature review find that mass customization and agile manufacturing can meet these requirements. Therefore, this study expects to test the impact of mass customization and agile manufacturing on firm’s competitive advantage. This study develops a framework that describes the relationship among mass customization, agile manufacturing and competitive advantage. The framework then was tested by the empirical data collected by using a mailing questionnaire from 800 manufacturing firms, which sampled from top 1000 manufacturers in Taiwan reported by Business Weekly in 2005. Through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) of SPSS 12.0 for Windows and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS 5.0, this study empirically tests the fit of model and assesses path coefficients. The empirical test results indicate that both agile manufacturing level and mass customization level has a positive impact on competitive advantage. Besides, the mass customization practices are positively related to mass customization level, and agile manufacturing practices are positively related to agile manufacturing level. Therefore, this study suggests that in order to increase competitive advantage, the implementation of agile manufacturing is more important than the implementation of mass customization to manufacturers.
