圖書館主要是以服務讀者的需求為出發點,期望能提供各式服務給不同需求的使用者,而以讀者為導向的服務品質研究正是幫助圖書館了解讀者之評價與看法的途徑。本研究採用問卷調查法了解大學圖書館讀者實際需求和使用滿意度,使圖書館能在有限資源中提供更好的服務品質,以能為圖書館獲致最大的效用。研究中先藉由文獻探討學術圖書館提供服務,以建構理論模式,再以大同大學圖書館為例,並以該校學生為實證研究對象,發放800份問卷,回收547份,回收率約68.37%,扣除填答不完整的無效問卷122份,有效問卷425份,有效問卷回收率約40.6%,進行圖書館服務品質與滿意度研究調查。研究將讀者分成「多元型」、「虛擬型」、與「實體型」三群,依因素分析將服務項目萃取出「網站設計」、「閱覽環境」、「人員服務」、「個人訊息」與「硬體設施」五構面,再利用變異數分析檢定分析三群讀者,結果發現不同讀者群對於圖書館提供的服務項目有顯著差異。並依研究架構推演出研究假說,使用迴歸分析檢定發現服務品質對於滿意度皆有顯著影響,又「虛擬型」讀者之使用圖書館次數對於圖書館設施與服務的滿意度有顯著影響;「實體型」讀者之使用圖書館次數對於圖書館設施的滿意度有顯著影響、停留圖書館時間對於圖書館服務的滿意度有顯著影響。經由本研究結果提出以下建議,可提供給學術圖書館進行管理與未來規劃之考量,以提升學術圖書館整體使用效率與服務品質:一、加強閱覽空間之改善;二、加強圖書館網站之推廣行銷;三、規劃圖書館藝文之空間;四、提供多套之系列書籍以利不同讀者方便借閱。
The main purpose of the academic library is to support teaching, learning, and researching. Academic library is an essential organization that raises the capabilities of research and lasting development for the university. Recently, due to the concept of the user-oriented service quality arising, conducting research of service quality of academic libraries on the basis of users’ perspective has become an important factor on the understanding of readers’ needs and opinions. Therefore, the purpose of this case study was to investigate the actual needs and actions to understand the segments of readers. By doing so, library can effectively improve its service quality under limited resources and help library satisfy its main objects of servicing its readers. The method to carry out this study was using literature analysis and building a questionnaires surveys using systematic random sample drawn from the intact students attending the A University during 18 October to 18 November in 2007. Total of 800 questionnaires selecting from the original sample of 3922 students were distributed and 547 were returned. 122 of those returned were blank. Moreover, we divided subscribers into three groups by using cluster analysis. After choosing the number of clusters, a one-way ANOVA was conducted to assess differences between the various groups. This guideline could be implemented in the design of service for the university in the future.
