WiMAX已被視為關鍵性的全網路(all-IP)行動寬頻接入技術,以多種不同的商業模式帶動全世界電信業者邁向成功。WiMAX營運商所採用的設備,這些設備需要通過無線電一致性測試(Radio Conformance Test, RCT)、協定一致性測試(Protocol Conformance Test, PCT)與互通性測試(Interoperability Test, IOT),才能符合WiMAX Forum™的規範。RCT是針對設備的實體層(Physical Layer, PHY Layer)是否符合WiMAX標準,而PCT是針對設備的媒體接取控制層(Medium Access Control Layer, MAC Layer)有無合乎WiMAX標準。然而,IOT測試是屬於整個系統的互通性測試,需要使用多種儀器與測試軟體做測試。由這個系統來看,發現儀器與測試軟體的控制介面規格不一致,會造成 IOT測試方式的複雜度增加。本論文試圖解決控制介面不一致的困擾,並嘗試使其測試過程能夠自動化地處理。這樣就可以提高測試效率、加強除錯能力、降低測試過程所需的時間與人力。
WiMAX is crucial to all internet protocol (all-IP) mobile broadband access technology, Using various business models will guide telecom operators towards success. Those Device adopted by the WiMAX operators must be pass Radio & Protocol Conformance Test (RCT & PCT) and Interoperability Test (IOT). The PCT & RCT help to ensure the device conformity to WiMAX Forum standards, however IOT is a part of system Interoperability Test and some multi-vendor testing platform would be needed. From system’s point of view, complexity would be highly increased since different control interfaces, for both software and hardware, are utilize din this system. Therefore, a software framework with unified interfaces would be proposed and partially implemented in this study, and both the efficiency & the effectiveness of testing are highly improved while the automation of the testing process would also be realized in this solution.
