摘要


最近幾年對苯二甲酸(TPA)在工業上是一種被廣泛應用的重要化學品,它不僅存在廢水中,是有毒物質而且也會造成人類內分泌系統失調;苯甲酸(BA) 也相同地會影響雌激素含量。每製造1 噸的TPA 會產生3-10m3 (含5-300g/L COD)的廢水需要處理。在本研究中,首先我們利用含浸法將活性碳浸漬在硝酸銅水溶液,再將改質的活性碳對TPA 與BA 進行吸附與分離。利用比表面積儀、耦合電漿、非金屬元素分析儀、熱重分析儀、X 光繞射及掃描式電子顯微鏡/能量散射光譜儀器分析活性碳改質前後的差異特性。根據Plackett-Burman 實驗設計,前處理時間、超音波震盪時間及鍛燒溫度都會影響銅在活性碳上的含量,間接影響TPA 與BA 的吸附分離效果。

Terephthalic acid (TPA) has been widely used as agents in chemical manufacturing for recent years. It has been known as an endocrine–disrupting chemical that interferes with the reproductive system and normal development of animals and human. Benzoic acid (BA) is also known to have harmful effects, including its ability to alter the hormone secretion in animals. For every ton of TPA produced, about 3-10m3 of wastewater is produced with very high amount of organic content (5-300g/L COD) that needs treatment. In this study, activated carbon was modified with copper nitrate by impregnation method to adsorb TPA and BA in aqueous solutions. The activated carbons were characterized texturally and chemically before and after the copper nitrate treatment by BET, ICP, EA, TGA, XRD, SEM, and EDS. According to the Plackett-Burman design, pretreatment time, ultrasonic time, and calcination temperature were found to be the most important variables that might influence the Cu loading on the activated carbon that affects the final performance of TPA and BA adsorptive separation.
