洗衣機功能提示音之合適性研究

A Study on the Appropriateness of Feedback Sound for Washing Machine

摘要

本研究主要為了解洗衣機各功能與其提示音的合適性。由文獻探討指出洗衣機為高普及率且仰賴蜂鳴器式提示音做訊息判斷的家電。先期調查從4款洗衣機整理出14種不同的樣本音，並以其特徵做出三個分類的比較表，「操作音」以短音為主，音長不超過一秒，「報知音」為兩聲或長音，「警告音」為連續短音。接著，針對此14種聲音樣本進行其與洗衣機功能間的匹配問卷，受測者需選取與各洗衣機功能匹配之樣本音並進行調整，總計共87份問卷，結果顯示，操作音偏向單音和旋律音，報知音以旋律音為主，警告音則為連續單音，且偏向較快的節拍和較高的音高。最後，進行以匹配問卷結果所得的各功能匹配之樣本音，共8個樣本音，進行語意差異評量問卷及因素分析，受測者聽取樣本音後勾選各語意形容詞的程度，綜計共102份問卷，分析得出，操作音的單音類別和旋律音類別呈現不同的意象，單音類別為「單調」、「忽略」、「明亮」的意象，旋律音類別則為「變化」、「忽略」、「灰暗」的意象，報知音呈現「變化」、「強調」、「明亮」的意象，而警告音的意象為「單調」、「強調」、「灰暗」，本研究結果將用於未來洗衣機設計與相關家電聲音研究之參考依據。

The study aims to understand the functions of washing machine and the appropriateness of its feedback sounds. Literatures indicate that washing machines is a highly-prevalent household appliance relying on buzzer feedback sound as message judgment. A preliminary survey sorted out from the four washing machines 14 different audio samples and worked out a comparison table of three categories according to their characteristics. It was found that the “operating sound” is mainly a short tone with a length not more than one second; “report sound” is dual tone or a long tone; the “warning sound” is a series of continuous short tones. Then, a questionnaire investigation was made to match the 14 audio samples with the washing machine functions, in which the subjects were required to select audio samples to match with the function of the washing machine and adjust the sound. A total of 87 questionnaires have been collected. The results show that the operating sound tends to single tone and continuous single tone, the report sound is mainly melodic tone, and the alarm sound is continuous single tones of faster rhythm and higher pitch. Finally, based on the 8 matched audio samples get through the questionnaire, make semantic differential assessment questionnaires and factor analysis, in which the subjects listen to the audio samples and then tick the degree of the semantic adjectives. After analysis of a total of 102 questionnaires, it was concluded that the single tone and continuous single tone for operating sound show different imago: single tone gives an imago of “monotony”, “ignore” and “bright”, and melodic sound gives an imago of “change”, “ignore” and “dark”; reports sound presents an imago of “change”, “stress” and “bright”; alarm sound tone presents an imago of “monotony”, “stressed” and “dark”. These research results will be used as a reference for the design of washing machines and sound research related to household appliances.
