From The Dark Side of My Mind:A Narrative Analysis on Ching-ching Chen's Art Creation

摘要


本創作論述旨在詮釋《內心深處》系列作品,其主要創作概念則是顯示無意識在內心深處的意涵,揭露個人的陰影原型;創作靈感來自內在精神,那些埋在陰影裡的感傷片段。創作過程中,我不斷與作品對話,反思我的生活體驗,有如壓抑的陳積,透過創作昇華為情緒出口,釋放心中的能量,來品嚼人生的內容。 另外,透過當前社會變異多元的價值觀,人們在生存空間裡互相擠壓、不安、掠奪…並不斷地反覆循環。這些現象正是我創作的題材,並且藉由自然環境被嚴重破壞的恐慌與壓力下,創作時就像是在傾聽內心細微的吶喊。在33件完成作品裡,以充分表達了我內心的本質,以及喚醒深處的生命意志。

This creation discourse aims to interpret series work of "The Dark Side of My Mind". The main creation concept of this series is to illustrate subconscious meaning of the dark side of mind and to reveal personal prototype under shadow. My inspiration came from sentimental episodes in life which were deeply buried in the shadow. During my creation period, I tried to make conversation with my work and to review my life experiences. Those conversation and experiences are like a huge accumulation of mental repression which were sublimated with my emotions and feelings. I can taste the story of life by liberating energy in heart. Furthermore, under multivariant social values of this age, people are forced to survive through repeated compression, insecurity and deprivation of each other. These phenomena is right subjects of my creative work. To create is to listen to the subtlest screaming of heart for me, especially under panic and pressure of our seriously damaged eco-evironment. The finished 33 work pieces have already fully revealed the nature of my spirit and also have awakened strength of life from the dark side of my mind.
