摘要


陪伴父母走過人生最後階段,在經歷親人的生離死別,開始深思人生的意義,了解生命是呈現“生滅而相續”狀態。死亡不是結束,是另一生命的開始。透過對生命的認識,學習具有慈悲和智慧來好好的度今生,並為來世做準備。 藉符號論的應用及藝術的本質的瞭解。本論述目的是將生命過程中的生、老、病、苦等歷程與經驗,經由深刻的體認與接觸,將心靈、情感上的觸動及所凝聚之精神能量,藉可塑性的紙漿、陶土、瓷土,塑造出具象的有機生命體外型—以各種的造形傳遞出不同的訊息。此外,再藉陶土、瓷土的高溫燒成,及化妝土、釉料的表面裝飾,同時藉材質的三度空間特性、肌理呈現、色彩及表面特徵的變化,來進一步和周遭環境及觀眾達到良好的互動。特別是期望強化創作理念及張力的效果。在本創作主題「生命記憶—未來到無限」的框架下,構思題材源自大地生物自然的創作,例如﹕花、種子、泡泡等來自大自然造物簡潔的造型風格,再賦予豐富多變的立體特徵。將藝術創作當作像語言一樣的符號,敘述著生命中的記憶與經驗。本創作論述以對生命情感為出發點,各系列作品為符號,傳遞人生不同階段所感受的生命意義與價值。作品共分為﹕1.流動記憶2.攀越的花朵3.心花 4.種子5.無限印記6.泡泡等六系列,作深入的表達、呈現與詮釋。

After taking care of my parents for the last journey of their lives, the meaning of life came to my mind. Life is actually suffering since the birth. To minimize this suffering, it is necessary to understand that we all have limitless lives in the past and future. Death is not the end of life but the door opening for another life. From our knowledge and wisdom of what went in our past lives, we may be able to shape our present and future lives. In order to convey the message of life through art work, “symbolism” and the understanding the work of art was applied in this study. The objective of this work to convert the experiences of birth, death, illness, suffering through the compassion, empathy, and spirituality in the present life to the meaning of eternity. By adopting the organic shape, the art works were created using paper mache, plastic clay or china clay. Through high temperature firing and surface modification by engobe, 3-dimensional art works with unique colored and textured surface are presented. More importantly, an intensified interaction/communication between art work and audience/environment is expected. As the title of this thesis is “Life Memory to Future Eternity,” the creation idea of this work comes from the creation of nature life such as flowers, seeds, and bubbles with modified 3-dimensional textures. To express the meaning of life, the art works of this study are divided into to six categories: 1. Flow memory, 2. Climbing flower, 3. Flower of heart, 4. Seeds, 5. Symbol for eternity, 6. Bubbles.
