The study aimed to explore the current situation of the emotional labor and quality of work life for the senior and vocational high schools military instructors and analyzed their correlation with different personal background variables. Subjects were military instructors working for senior and vocational high schools in Taichung County and City. Sampling of general survey was utilized. In total there were 217 valid questionnaires returned, and the response rate was 74%.Based on the purpose and hypotheses of this study, the returned valid questionnaires had been carefully examined in terms of Descriptive Statistics, Independent Sample T-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé Post Hoc and Pearson products- moment correlation. The results elicited from this study are as follows: 1. The gender, marriage, positions and seniority of military instructors’ characteristics were with obviously differences in the differences between personal characteristics and emotional labor. 2. The gender and seniority of military instructors’ characteristics were all with obviously significantly differences in the differences between personal characteristics and quality of working life. 3. The degree of military instructors’ emotional labor had a significant negative correlation with the status of military instructors’ quality of working life.
