探討市售軟式彩拋隱型眼鏡與市售多功能護理藥水組合對於眼睛之生物相容性影響(臺灣區研究)

摘要


最近幾年軟式隱形眼鏡及多功能護理藥水組合對眼睛的生物相容性影響在不同國家之間是一個熱門的研究議題。這種因鏡片和藥水組合所導致的相容性問題除了會使角膜產生瀰漫性的染色,更會進而影響到鏡片配戴的舒適性。許多國家如:美國、澳洲、法國、西班牙及日本……等都做過這類型的研究。然而,大多數這些研究都在西方國家進行,其中大部分受試者都是西方血統的白種人。到目前為止,此種類型的研究在東方國家的亞洲人身上還未能得到充分地探討。 本研究屬於前瞻性、交叉性的臨床實驗,對於多功能藥水種類採雙盲設計。使用2015 年市面上銷售最好的二種多功能護理藥水及二款軟式彩拋隱形眼鏡,此外,我們還囊括了臺灣市場最新推出的多功能護理藥水和其他兩款銷售最好的多功能護理藥水組合進行比較。此研究的目的不僅在於了解軟性隱形眼鏡和多功能護理藥水組合的生物相容性對亞洲人眼睛的影響,除此以外也希望能透過此研究對民眾進行衛教,提升民眾對於隱形眼鏡配戴之健康認知。 初步的測試目的是為了達到更好的對照研究設計。根據結果發現在眼球表面點上螢光劑後,立即配戴的鏡片經過沖洗與浸泡後和沖洗過眼睛後而配戴的鏡片兩者相比,鏡片上之螢光殘留量極小而兩者之間的差異也很微小。經由結果顯示,我們對螢光素殘留可能影響未來臨床研究的混雜因素之擔憂可被排除在外。

Soft contact lens and multipurpose solution biocompatibility issue has recently been a popular research of interest in various countries including the United States, Australia, France, Spain and Japan. Biocompatibility problems involving soft lenses and solutions come in forms of corneal diffuse staining and possibly affecting lens wear comfort. However, most of these studies were carried out mostly in Western countries, where majority of the subjects were Caucasians of Western descent. To this date, very few studies of this type have been explored in Asian population in the eastern part of the world. This study is a prospective, crossover clinical trial, double-masked for solution type. The two colored contact lenses and two of the three multipurpose solutions used were the best-selling products on both the general market and the eye care professional market during the year of 2015. We also included a recently launched multipurpose solution product on the market in Taiwan as a comparison with the other two popular contact lens solutions. Not only will this study be examining the impact of soft contact lenses and multipurpose solution biocompatibility on Asian eyes, but will also serve as a vehicle to promote better health education in the general public regarding contact lens wear and proper handling and care. We have begun our preliminary study to establish a better controlled study design. It was found that after the application of fluorescein dye on the ocular surface, both the lens directly worn immediately then soaked in saline and the lens that was worn after eye rinse resulted in very small amount of fluorescein residue and the difference between the two lenses were also minute. The results imply that our concerns about the presence of fluorescein residues as a confounding factor that may affect our future clinical study can be excluded.
